I have no room for a racing cab and my wife is going to kill me when I break it to her but how could I resist for $4. My kids had a blast playing on the laptop yesterday so I'm sure that a sit down cab would be the talk of the town.

Wow, nice find, they go for way too much on ebay, I have been keeping an eye out.

It's what is in the current cp of my cab and what was hacked for the new cp. The sim guys scoff at it, but I like it.
You have the flexibility of logitech profiler and the ffb is compatible with every game I've ever tried.
It's held up to a couple years of guests treating it like an arcade grade wheel.
I picked up two of them direct from logitech for $40 each when they were discontinued.
They sell for more than that used now, lol.
Awesome find for $4!

Bad mouth, I've followed your posts and your racing cab for a while and I'm way impressed. I've been playing around with the wheel and I'm wondering what your most played games are. I haven't tried it at all with mame yet but that's my next step.

Indy 500 on the model 2  all the rest come after that

My most played is Ridge Racer 2 on the Viva Nonno emulator.
No idea why. I can run the same track for a friggin' hour in that game trying to place first, and I don't get bored.
(BTW, it works flawlessly in MAME now if you have the horsepower)
Second most played is Crazy Taxi, although the music drops out after a couple songs and Demul is a PITA to set up.
I have the PC version with the crappy music replaced by the original arcade music, but it just doesn't feel the same.
It's a fun game to play while drinking...if you do such things. ;D
Honorable mentions: Sega Rally Championship, Scud Race, Outrun 2006 (PC)
With proper shifter support, I've been enjoying the older sprite based games like Outrun & WEC Lemans.
Chase Bombers is a lesser known gem once you get the hang of aiming the weapons.
(choosing automatic transmission doesn't make much difference in that one)
EDIT: I'd actually put Model 2 emulator higher on the priority list than MAME when it comes to an analogue wheel.
(Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Indy 500, Super GT, Manx TT, MotoRaid, Sega Touring Car (they can't all be winners)
EDIT AGAIN: Virtua Racing on MAME! There is something about the look and engine sound that just feels right.

nice find!
I've picked up a few consoles and new to me games at goodwill in recent weeks. I'm glat I have a 27" tv in my cab to play the old school consoles they way they are meant to be played.

Thanks for all the game ideas guys. It's just a shame that I used the last decent computer setup I had in my ninja monkeys build. My i3 laptop is struggling. Probably the gpu.

Hey badmouth I'm not sure what version of demul your using but I had the same problem with crazy taxi music dropping on 0.56 and the leaked version of 0.57 WIP. I haven't had it happen (at least so far) on the official 0.57 WIP. Might be worth a shot if your using one of the older ones.

I'm on v.56 for Naomi and the leaked .57 WIP for Atomiswave.
I'm using Windows XP though, and the legacy DirectX 9 drivers in the new Demul v.57 are horrible.
I don't remember the exact issues when I tested Crazy Taxi, but I think I remember the wheels of the car not being there. :lol
On Maximum speed, the track disappears.

Nice Find Jammin! 8) I've been scourin' the local goodwill stores for a wheel of that calibur for quite some time. That is a sweet find.
Not saying this is the route that you would necessarily want to take, but since you mentioned space/computer rig money as an issue, I recently build a mini sit down racing cabinet (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=120992.0) and the thing is crazy fun. It took me a week to build, takes up less than 2 square feet, and cost only a pittance. I know it isn't a cab for racing simulation purists, but perfect cab for adults and kids to jump on anytime. Just thought I would throw the idea out there.

I'm a huge fan Vigo, I followed your posts on that one. Most impressive to me was how quickly you whipped that build out. It seemed like you had just finished your first and then were onto the second.
That might be a fallback when I mention the whole thing to my wife. We really don't have the room for a sit down cab but that hasn't phased my scheming yet :D.

Thanks man, I have been a fan of your ninja monkey build as well. Good luck getting your plans approved with your wife. I know real estate is keeping me from building myself a full racing cab as well. That, and I have been put on an arcade project hiatus by my wife, at least until I finish a few bigger projects around the house. ;)

You win more flies with honey than you do with vinegar PBj. Just admiring another mans cabs, what can I say, I'm secure in my manhood.
