Title: Logitech Wheel Questions
Post by: djsting on October 01, 2003, 12:59:30 pm
I have this wheel http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&CRID=13&CONTENTID=5025&countryid=19&languageid=1 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&CRID=13&CONTENTID=5025&countryid=19&languageid=1) and would like to know how to get it to work with the driving games on MAME; in particular I am interested in Spyhunter (one of my favs), Pole Position, Cruisin' (if they are in MAME, I haven't looked yet), OutRun, and the like.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

Don't forget that most PC Steering wheels don't spin 360 degrees.

I can't offer anything really usefull to you, but I own this wheel (and the ACT-Labs shifter) and you made a great choice.  The wheel is fantastic.  I plan to try to incorporate it into my cab.

Get Mafia.  Loads of fun with this wheel.  I picked it up from a GoGamer.com sale for $17.  Brilliant game.  It's like Grand Theft Auto 3 with brains (not that GTA is not also great).

Great wheel indeed.... I purchased 2 to hookup with my 2 PS2s..... allowing to two player link-up    @ home.  Very cool.

Even have all the firewire gear to do the 6 player linkup.  Hassle to organise, but worth it when ever we could be other.

Though the other day I was a bit upset.  I picked up two copies ot Tokyo Road Race for the PS2.  Very average looking, but it wasn't too bad.  Till I found out it doesn't detect the MOMO...... Grrrr!

Makes me wonder if the first generation GT3 Logitech wheels suffer the same problem..  weak if so.

Oh, do any of you guys have the problem where the wheel is physically off-center?  I had to return one it was so bad.   The other was a tad bit of, but acceptable.  The replacement was perfect.
