Title: Robotron 2084
Post by: Sparkolicious on February 20, 2012, 10:48:53 pm
A few years back I found a Robotron cab in the trash.  I got the boards tested and repaired. Got a new Bezel, new cp artwork... I got a switching power supply and then totally realized that I don't know shiat about restoring an arcade machine.  So here it sits in the garage.  I tried to sell it a few years back, and really didn't get any interest.  Someone did ask for me to get some measurements and post them.  Well I didn't do that until now. I am not a google sketch master, and measuring this thing was a little difficult, but this is pretty accurate.  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=94153.msg990135#msg990135 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=94153.msg990135#msg990135)  here's a link to some pics of the cab... Hopefully this is of some use to someone.. if not it was still cool to play around with sketch up.

If you are trying to sell this, why are you posting in the restoration section?

I said TRIED to sell... no one was interested..  I was farting around with sketchup... after laying out a design for a new cab, I decided to draw up Robotron just because I remembered someone asking for dimensions years ago. I Probably should have done more than a cursory look for existing drawings, but when I didn't see it right off I decided to post.  I figured the place for a drawing of a cab that someone might be restoring or trying to re-build would be here.  If I decide to offer it for sale again I will be sure to put the listing in the correct forum.
