$60 for an original Wii controller with nunchuck! So i'm looking for suggestions on good 3rd party controllers.
-
There aren't any that even come close to the official versions. Save yourself a headache and buy the originals.
-
ebay? for cheaper originals, I mean. Not knockoffs.

I really don't see the big deal.... I mean a xbox controller is 50 bucks, at least you are getting two controllers for about the same price.
You are right about ebay, but just "the internet" will give you a better deal.
Just a quick product search via google shows that a NEW wiiremote+ can be had for around 20 bucks and a nunchuck for 10.
Silly people and their brick and mortar stores. ;)

I just bought a 3rd party wii controller and it keeps losing connection (now I know why it was on sale for £10) so getting the real deal is a cost saving.
I like it and it is smaller, lighter. It just doesn't work as well as a Nintendoh Wiimote.

NOT!
I agree that the price is equivalent, but you are definitely not getting two controllers. Instead you are getting a fully functioning controller for about the same price. :P
I wouldn't personally find the price too bad if it weren't for the fact that I never use the damn Wii. I want to play the new Zelda, but hell if I can be bothered to pay for a new controller with Motion+ for a system that is used about once a year.

No, no you are not.
A 360 controller is a standard wireless controller with a usb hub with an outrageous price point... and yet people don't complain about it.
For a wiimote+ you get a bluetooth controller (much more expensive) with an ir camera, dual accelerometers and a gyroscope for a lower price. In other words it's a much better value for what you get.
The nunchuck is not a requirement. I think something like 30% of the wii games actually require it, so you are indeed getting two controllers for the price of one.
Don't project your wii hate onto the price point. Your argument is like saying "Boy that beautiful, disease-free woman that will fully pleasure a man for only a dollar is too expensive, because I have erectile dysfunction and rarely need her services." In other words it may not be worth it to you due to your unique circumstances, but it's still a fair price.

I wouldn't go so far as to call a WiiMote and a Nunchuk "two controllers". It's a controller and an add-on. It's not like you can use the nunchuk separately from the Wiimote.

I projected no Wii hate onto the price point. I think the controller is a fair price for someone that would actually use it and said as much.
Your statement of getting two controllers I just found laughable. There is not two functioning controllers there.
