OK so im very new to this jamma conversion process, ive just got my cab up and running using an AGV ArcadeVGA card and new Jpac card but im having lots of problems :(
First off im using MALA for my front end on XP and all loads up great to mala, I had all this working fine on the PC during build on my monitor but since in the cab with the arcade monitor its not launching games, I click on a game and the resolution flickers and im dumped back at the mala menu, does this for all games.
Ive installed my ArcadeVGA drivers but arcade perfect doesnt run im thinking this is perhaps because im on an old ArcadeVGA card perhaps? Also I tried removing the jumpers from the Jpac as with the arcadeVGA card I understood these were not needed as ArcadeVGA outputs at 15 mhz or whatever it is but with these removed the screen just rolls. Could be this is older AracdeVGA issue perhaps...
Also it seems the coin slot doesnt work anymore, just rejects the money any ideas on this one also?
Sorry lots and lots of questions. I have also followed all the instructions on ultimarc site to configure mame.ini etc. The annoying thing is ive had it all working once (appart from coin slot) but since a reboot its all stopped :( i tried the auto resolution util aracaderes but im unsure what options to select so I just used the default..
Any help would be great :)

If your games won't begin, something is wrong with your mame setup. Try running the games from command line. Are you following these instructions? http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainst.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainst.html)

Thanks for the reply, ive found now that I boot the machine then go in to the mame folder and launch mame.exe on first load it fails with a directdraw error. Then if i relaunch it then it works the second time, then if I go back to mala and everything also works fine and continues to do so.. So looks like there is some sort of direct draw issue which is corrected once I restart mame.. Not sure how to fix this one... Ive tried installing the ATI control tools and playing with the directdraw options but doesnt make much diffrence.. any idea if these direct draw options need changing from the defaults?
Ive also reinstalled the ArcadeVGA drivers about 1000 times!
