Title: Are there different kinds of A940 transistors??
Post by: AE35 on November 16, 2011, 05:11:21 pm
Hi all!

I just ordered some A940's to replace a bad one I have. I have two of these
chassis, so I have a working one. The original A940 transistor on a working
chassis measures about 680mV with red on B and black on emitter. But none
of the A940's I ordered measures anything...just OL. (even in circuit)

So, I'm thinking: Are there different kinds of A940's?

Thanks!

2SA940 crosses to NTE398 and is typically used as a vertical output transistor.
