Title: Would adding old CHD's to new CHD torrent folder screw something up?
Post by: BadMouth on November 15, 2011, 06:58:30 pm
I'm not sure how to update my CHDs.  My ISP (comcast) might hassle me about downloading over 200GB in a short period of time.

If I were to copy my v142 CHDs into the new v144 CHD folder, would it save me time and trouble or would it cause problems?

Use Clrmampro and create a .144 profile and perform a rebuild using your old rom folder as a source. clrmamepro will rebuild your sets into the new rom folder, including chd's as best it can for .144. When you download your updates only the items missing will be downloaded, saving bandwidth.

I didn't think rebuilder worked with CHDs.  Just tried it and can't get it to do anything besides scan them and tell me how many I'm missing.
My CHDs are actually v.140.  Looks like the quantity has doubled.  :o

BadMouth,

I have the same issue, and had no luck with CLRMamePro trying to update my CHD torrent.  Afterwards it was saying I had 0 matches.

I really need someone local to just grab them from.  :dunno
