Title: 34pin edge connector for Taito pcb, where to buy?
Post by: dextercf on October 27, 2011, 03:58:00 am
Where can I find 34pin edge connectors to fit my Taito Space Invaders pt2 boards?
There are 17 pins on each side, 34 in total.

This are the bad boy needed to be connected:

I get all of those from Bob Roberts.  He has all the edge connectors with pictures...

Bob is old school.  He takes checks, no paypal.  If he knows you, he cross ships, if not, he waits for a check. I have done business with Bob for over 10 years.

Problem with that is that I'm located in Norway (Yes, close to the moon!) so the payment solution at hand is preferably paypal.
I have recieved a parcel from china today with some connectors, but these look too small (width). We'll see when I get home.

what you are actually looking for is a 18/36 pin pcb edge connector housing with a polarizing pin. the question now is wether you want to crimp that to a ribbon cable, crimp all individual pins to leads, or if you want it to mount to a board...

this guy here has them http://homearcade.org/BBBB/conectas.html#edge (http://homearcade.org/BBBB/conectas.html#edge) scroll down to
"18/36 Common on Konami games $5.00"

heres a pic of what you would get
(http://homearcade.org/BBBB/jamma_ecs.jpg)
 - these are meant to have each pin wired individually. -

you could get the polarizing pins there too, or not bother.

and I would be happy to ship these to you if needed, but by the sounds of it, this guy Bob seems like a decent fellow. he does indicate he can ship internationally if needed.
