Title: Joust Cocktail Measurements
Post by: Birdtales on September 08, 2003, 05:21:07 pm
Edgedamage has sent me the preliminary pics of the measurements. THANKS.

I am going to attempt to take these measurements and put it all into Autocad and get us a PDF of the cabinet with all of the measurements. This may take a bit as the Real Life has to come first. Until then you can view the pics with measurements on my site. Will try to get to the Acad thing this weekend.

BirdTales,

PacManFan here,

I was at the CoinOp warehouse in Hagertown MD. with Abrannan last weekend, and we saw a cocktail cab that look a lot like the joust cocktail. It was some quiz game. I was side-by side sit down with that divisor bettween the 2 players. It may have been a converted joust.
I'm sure Lloyd at CoinOp still has it available (He's got 700+ machines).
I picked up some good stuff, so did Abrannan.
Any chance you'd be up for a roadtrip sometime soon?
Lloyd's open every other Saturday or so, I can give him a call and see when we can drop by. I want to pick up a Ms. Pac or a Galaga.

I already email'ed him about the Joust Cocktail cabs. I saw them when his warehouse was in Va. He want's 125, not too bad but I'm torn on Maming a Joust cocktail. I'm trying to get the time to throw together the plans with Edgedamage's measurements but have't been able to yet.

I desperately want to build this cab. I've been looking for some sort of plans for the past week, to no avail. And yeah, I definitely want the one that houses a 19". Same as the defender/stargate cocktail, correct? (except with a 19" monitor)(I've attached a pic below to confirm.) If someone has all these measurements, oh man please make them available. My table-saw trigger finger is itchy. I'm dying to get started.

Can you help?

Cory

Jakobud's website has plans for a cocktail Joust cabinet.  They don't seem too clear but I'm no carpenter either.  Would these work?

I only see plans for a cocktail Robotron there, totally different table than Joust.

Sorry, you are right--it's a Robotron cabinet (bigger screen then the Defender cab but same style, correct?).  I was responding to mushmouth.

That robotron cabinet is very similar to the defender stargate cabinets.  They are very much the same style and you can't tell the difference at a glance.  But there are a couple differences.  I have yet been able to track down someone with a defender/stargate cocktail they could provide me with plans for...

I'd love to find someone who could provide plans for a Joust cocktail too.  However thats a hard cabinet to find...  And those pics posted above with the tape measure are completely cryptic  >:(

Heh...I just sold one.  I have another, but AFAIK I'm going to be using it on my bartop unit.

I just ran across a joust cabinet.  Took a bunch of pictures.  It is in pretty rough shape and has been converted into a Klax.  How much would you pay for one?  Figuring that it would have to be taken to the frame.

Would need, boards, monitor, artwork, controls, cleaning, painting, etc.
