Title: Gottlieb EM, please help identify this wire
Post by: AE35 on July 26, 2011, 08:10:48 am
Hey all!

I'm restoring a Gottlieb Jungle Queen(1977) and on the coin unit there's a lose wire.
It's black with dotted yellow, maybe it's ground?

If someone could check a similar machine I would be very happy ;D

Thanks!!

From the pic it looks like the whole lug broke off of the disc somewhere.

Just use the best tool in your tollbox--YOUR EYES-- and you should likely find it.  It is only a wire 3 inches long so it couldn't have come from very far away.

If it is on the coin door could it be the antenna line?

See here (http://See here) for an example.

Hey!

It's on the bottom on the cabinet, not the coin door:)

However, it doesn't seem to go to the disc.  :P

Well, the 'thing' on the end of the wire seem to have a tooth, like those for grounding
you fasten with a screw:

That looks like it could be most of the end of a trace as shown in your pic above.
