Long story short,... Love the 360 controller, hate the ps3 one. I've bought several 3rd party ones that are close, but deadzones are huge and other small things.
Has anyone converted a 360 controller to work on PS3? I understand I won't have the sixaxis stuff, but I have yet to play a game where that would matter.

Yea, I've seen those. Wasn't sure about the quality though, and there is even a version 2 that supports r1/r2 l1/l2 swapping That's pretty important to me since a lot of PS3 games use the top buttons for firing instead of the triggers.
The v2 version though is quite expensive for a mere adapter though, so I thought I'd see what might be here.
If anyone has one of those, what are your impressions of it?

I hate to be the guy that states the obvious here, but why did you buy a ps3 then?
The 360 and ps3 have 98% of the same software library... just play the 360 version. ;)
I agree btw... the playstation controller has been crap ever since the psone days. I have no clue why they still stick with such and odd design with that cramped little button space and all of those triggers that are so easy to accidentally hit. The had grips aren't eaxctly ergonomic either.

yeah i think the 360 control nailed it. i recently bought a ps3 with gt5, and i think the control has even gotten worse, theres no 'feel' in the X button, almost on or off now, unless i'm remembering wrong i'm sure the old ps controls let you have a bigger input over the gas...
also made me laugh at how much not of a simulator is is after reading all the fanboy stuff saying that forza was arcade and gt5 is the real deal....pretty much exactly the same in feel (bar the awful new x button, and that the 360 trigger is much better for throttle..) all of that is redundant i guess since those are best enjoyed on a wheel i suppose...just sayin...
anyway yeah, i'd love a good converter which didn't cost an arm and a leg, although if it cost the same as a new ps3 control i guess its pretty much like getting another controller since i already have 2 unused 360 controls, anyone had any experience with these converters??

I didn't (at first) but had to get one when Little Big Planet 2 came out. That Plus I needed a new DVD player and figured I may as well get a blu-ray at the same time.
Anyways, I've got all 3 (wii,360,ps3) and would just like to have a decent controller for the PS3 to match the 360 gaming experience. I've got some friends that will be buying BF3 for the PS3, but I'll be sticking to the 360 on that unless I can get a better controller feel.
