I'm about to ditch, or at least make more difficult to get to, the keyboard for my PC as I move toward it being a more dedicated jukebox controller. It's an MSI All-In-One running Windows 7.
I've been looking for a way to continue using the PC for some other functions, though. Examples would be logging on to view Facebook, or check the weather forecast, or a handful of other specific web pages that I'd like to access by just tapping a large onscreen icon. Others might call up a touchscreen friendly calculator, or a countdown timer for household use. The main apps I need to access are two instances of WinCab, one being setup as a singles jukebox, the other set up as an album jukebox.
So....any recommendations of a touchscreen shell/app launcher that might meet my needs?
I know this one will....I've been playing around with it and they generously let you try for a full 30 days before requiring that you buy it to continue:
Thinix Touch 6 Tablet Demonstration (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwjvnkxV-uU#ws)
There are some other interesting ones I've run across. Something called 8start would be good, but it's not resizeable and the icons are really, really tiny on modern displays native resolutions.

Thanks for any suggestions. I have 29 days to decide.....

I like to use Simple Touch FE to bring all my programs together on a touchscreen. It is listed on the LH side of the screen.

Thank you so much. I'm not a newbie around here, and I can't believe I didn't remember that this was available. It sure doesn't show up when you go searching for it in Google.
Simple Touch FE functions exactly as I wanted, and it's so easy to configure.
Here's what I'm working on.....utilizing a store-bought bookshelf unit to create a 'jukebox for dummies'. I've been trying to find a way to integrate a dedicated jukebox into our living room without affecting the decor of the room too much. I have some favorite jukeboxes that I've seen on this site, but I'd also thought about just putting the PC on some bookshelves. It wasn't until just the other night that I had the thought about adding grill cloth to make it look less l If I do a good job on the grill cloth panels, this should actually be kind of reminiscent of how console stereos used endeavor to 'blend in'. No cables running across the living room floor to speakers, no computer keyboard in the open, although I might put one in the satellite speaker area and may make that a drop down keyboard shelf with cutouts for the speakers....
Of course, I need to put a "Derm - O - Dyne" logo on it somewhere. I'll post when I've got it completed, or as I go.

I gotta second on using SimpleTouchFE.
Once you get used to setting it up it's a breeze to make it do pretty much whatever you need.
Don't forget that you can designate "hidden button" areas like in the corners to call up on-screen keyboards and kill apps and such.

Are there any step-by-step tutorials available, for setting up SimpleTouchFE?
Thanks.
