That's really funny, because I just puked in my mouth.

OMG: what a lame introduction video. This level of 3D modelling was acceptable when I started my design study in 1993. Not today. Come on, at least have it 3D printed and show a working proto.

LOL - This has got to be a joke. From the video:
"Through the power of marketing, we can harness your imagination to sell you products for more than their true value, because you will believe they do more than they actually do."
-
we think there's a place in the market for a "Model-T" of handheld video game systems.
You will be able to get it in any color you want, as long as that color is white. ;D
-
we will sell it at cost because we are more interested of profiting off your IP then we are on any actual work we put in...
-
What ealse do you guys want for 20 bucks? this aint gonna replace a ps vita but will be great for emus and open developers...
-
no, it won't be good for emu's most emu's need at least a P4 level of power to run well, this won't have anywhere near that power at that price point. It probably gives nothing to developers other than another paltform, I doubt there will be any sort of developer tools available to help make games. More than likely it will be some sort of existing linux OS. The most expensive part of a handheld is the screen, no way they get a good screen for that cheap. It looks to me like it will probably be a GBA competitor, if it ever sees the light of day. Sorry to rain on your parade buddy...

Ouch,
If you want something good for $20 get a VCR and hack it VCR Hack! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGx-3t8CJ-k#ws)

negative creeps.....what i mean its that if you compare this with the high prices of a gp2x wich is 100 ...20 does not sounds bad at all, and no, most classic emus run just fine in this kind of hardware.

Not negative, but if you think 20 is realistic you become the definition of NAIVE.

Has it or dreams about it?
If it has it, it must be on Ebay for say 50$, so please post me that Ebay link.

You are correct. The price they aimed for was not met:

meh, lots of cheap gadgets, most of them are utter garbage. This whole idea will never fly:
1) they are relying on economies of scale they don't have. Yeah they MAY be able to negotiate super cheap components, but only if they order in massive quantities, which they shouldn't do because there is no established market.
2) Even if they sold it for the cost of the components, it wouldn't maek any sense because they would still need to cover manufacturing, shipping, and overhead costs. No way all that rolls into 20 bucks.
3) Nobody would invest in this. The handheld market has never seen success outside of nintendo. It relies on adaption by independent IP holders, who may or may not develop enough interesting material to support any kind of meaningful sales.
4)The business model depends on transactions from sales of the IP for any sort of profit. So if i put money in, I am not making any money back for a LOOOOONG time, seeing as how I would need them to develop, and market a handheld, which would take LOTS of money; wait for IP to be developed for it, which will take time, and then I am only making money once a bunch of people start buying software on this thing, so that means I am banking that there will be enough unique games that people would be willing to buy in order for me to make a profit. No WAY am I taking that risk to make so little money that far down the road.
Its just a bad idea all around...
