Google quit working????
If everyone answered like you, then one would figure that google would indeed quit working.
That being said, I actually have no idea, because I have never owned or modded a PSP. Sorry.

Hey,
I have googled it and I am researching.
THanks

This post was more useless than pbj's. But at least his pointed demon in the right direction.
edit: On topic, as far as I know, it has gotten a little harder to mod the PSP on later firmwares (much like the Wii). Mine's still a 5.xx, started from a 1.5. You might have to downgrade it first.

No my post didn't help him get his PSP modded, and I guess I should have just been a smart ass like PinballJim and offered up the great advice of "Bing it".
Asking someone if they searched for it is like asking someone if they bothered to breathe today.
You google it, and you get all kinds of crap that you have to filter through, but when you ask people in a community, especially one that you are part of, then you can find people that possibly know more and can direct you to exactly what you need to know.
If the goal of this community is to just be asses to everyone though, then whatever.
You guys can be asses, and I will be a useless white knight.
[EDIT]
Is there nothing like xbox-scene.com for PSPs?

I used psp-hacks.com when I did mine. Tons of information on that site.

Actually, with a pandora battery, you can mod any psp 1000 or 2000, regardless of what ofw it is on.
-
I'm still at 3.80 did they manage to fix the region issue with the UMD on 5.X?
Is it worth upgrading to 5?
-
Wow some people here are somewhat annoying -.- ... anyways, OP you can hack that PSP by using a Pandora's Battery with a magic memory stick. Check ebay and good luck.
-
Ya you want a pandora battery, and the red GoW one should be hackable. It isn't 100% correct that all psp 2000s are hackable though, the last run of them had upgraded mobos that did not let the pandora battery put it in service mode.
TA-088v1 which are similar to TA-085v2 in that they cannot CREATE pandora batteries, but pre-made pandora batteries still work.
TA-088v2 again, cannot write to the battery eeprom and thus cannot create custom IPL/service/pandora batteries
TA-088v3 is the newest and are totally pandora proof as of now.

I think I last updated my hacked psp maybe... 2 years ago? I have one of the original models that opened with the GTA trick. I am super loath to try and update it further. It gives me the gibblies to have to go relearn all the tricks and voodoo to make whatever new tricks and voodoo Sony has come up with nullified. I don't envy you.
Same thing with my Wii! Haven't updated that in a while, hoping I won't have to for a while longer.

I actually only used my hacked psp to play GBA games. The screen scaled decent and played great.
-
Ture, nothing worth stealing on the PSP. That is why I hacked it in the first place. I play more emulators on it than anything else. Any PSP software worth having you can find cheap anyway.
-
I don't know how it is these days, but originally there was a solid lock-down on the quality of the video you could convert on the PSP. The hacked software let you unlock the full resolution. Plus, some games with poor framerates would benefit from putting the clock speed higher.
