Title: Artwork for my bartop cabinet - Comments?
Post by: DrChek on May 31, 2011, 02:59:55 pm: So my first build (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=111865.msg1186510#msg1186510) is moving along nicely.

I've started working on marquee art ideas. Here is my space invaders inspired first draft.

might wanna remove that tiny mame logo from the marquee. that looks out of place and unnecessary.

I know the arcade machines did it, but if you change your front end, or have it operate differently, then these instructions might become outdated. Just my thought.

I thought about that, but the instructions on there are very basic and solid. The only change may be the coin-start combo to exit, but I will confirm that after I wire up a test panel.

Yours reminds me of 80's cartoonish font styling/coloring/layering. Mine looks a little too plastic-y, even for the 80's.
