Title: ZVG/mame support question
Post by: taylormadelv on May 07, 2011, 01:01:42 pm
I know that there is an old version of DOS mame that works with the ZVG card. A person also said that they did something to get Windows(not DOS) mame .137 to work with the ZVG. Does that mean that all newer versions of mame support the ZVG card now? Does the GUI version of mame .137 support ZVG? Does any GUI version of mame suppport the ZVG card? I am a bit confused as to exactly what the mame developers have done/not done in terms of support for the zvg. Can anyone clear this up? Please don't post a link to the zektor site, they don't really address these specific questions; just that certain dos mame versions work and a new .137 mame will work but that's it. This will probably be "the tip of the iceberg" kinda question, since there will be almost 200 new ZVG's floating around very soon and not everyone is gonna understand how to set theirs up....

After research, I discovered that zvg support was built into dosmame .72 and stopped at dosmame .106. Any other versions of mame with zvg are news to me, save for the windows/linux betas. It would be real nifty to get zvg support written back into MameUI at some point...

There is a project on KLOV that was started that allows for support in WIndows and Linux for ZVG

There are currently no menus available for Win/Linux.
