Title: How to separate glued wood?

Spent most of yesterday glueing the battens for my project.
Having a test fit this morning it seems that one of the last pieces I glued is off...

Any advice on how to separate the 2 pieces?

Usually a hammer will work for me.

If you rabbited or otherwise joined them though, you may end up needing to use a Flush cut saw.

Well, I tried a very sharp & fine crafting knife in the seam to try and scrape / cut out some glue then went in with the hammer.

I'll try and rescue it with some wood filler  :banghead:

Although too late, I second the Flush Cut saw.   Grab one at Harbor Freight if you can.  They are really cool.

 Its amazing how sharp they are, and they cut really fast with minimal effort.
The blades so thin, theres very little resistance from the material.. and the teeth are razor sharp.. and surprisingly, out of all the cuts Ive made, they still are sharp as hell.

 Its nice to for small cut jobs, or specialty situations, like what you ran into. (which is their intended purpose)

Thanks for the advice guys.  Operation wood filler was a success  :cheers:, it's really hard to see that a piece was missing after all the sanding.

I'll grab a flush cut saw for the future

If this is wood glue then the bond is stronger than the wood itself, so you have to treat it as though it's one piece and saw accordingly.
