year one - supposedly its bad and only 14% on rottentomatoes site.
to me its easily up there with judd apatow/mike judge movies. this might be the only movie where I didnt hate jack black. 8/10 EASY!

"The Andromeda Strain"... the original one from 1971, not the 2000 something remake... haven't watched that one yet.
people look at me like

when I watch it.
-
^ that looks interesting. gonna check netflix/torrent.
-
Battlefield Earth
Time Cop
-
I am a huge fan of the "Friday the 13th" movies. Not the remake so much, but the originals. The Paramount ones. I think they really went downhill after New Line bought the rights, not that Paramount was doing much better with the whole Manhattan one. LOL
-
Aw, I liked Jason X and Freddy Vs Jason. :laugh2:
-
Sleepaway camp...... 1 and 2
-
I love any cheap zombie movies. Most horror movies, really, but cheapo zombie movies make me laugh. Torrent sites are a goldmine of zombie flicks made with $750 and someone's uncle's cabin in the woods. Terror at Blood Fart Lake is a great example.
-
ChadTower: I am also a sucker for most horror films. Mostly older ones. And I also love zombie films.
Jennifer: I also liked Sleepaway Camp....the ending has been burned and scarred into my memory since I was 8 years old. Oh the pain. The sequels were fun even if they weren't serious at all.
-
Hudson Hawk and Cutthroat Island.
-
The 13th Warrior. I know I know, guilty pleasure. But it's a fun film for me, and I like Vikings and sword fighting...
-
I like Vikings and sword fighting...
Ever been in a Turkish prison?

LOL

I like Eric the viking its one of those 80's movies you love to watch
-
American Ninja
American Ninja 2
All cheesy ninja movies from the 80s.
;D
-
I loved american ninja or any 80's ninja movies there great same as old kung fu films there fantastic ;D
-
Independence Day
-
Xanadu
It just so happened to come out on HBO the month we had some HBO promotion and I must've watched it 50 times. I was 8 or 9. Still love it.
-
Teen Wolf - probably watched it 439 times when I was a kid, started my love of basketball and surfing on top of milk trucks.
Willow - haven't seen it in a while, but interesting sci-fi
Highlander - There can be only one.....with a bunch of sequels
-
Witchboard (1986)
Im sure there are more, but its one of the lesser known goodies that gets a low rating.
Interesting enough, I never realized the Whitesnake girl, Tawny Kitaen, is one
of the stars in it.
-
Independence Day
I was going to say Independence Day to. Everyone is quick to say that it was horrible. I have watched it a dozen times in my life and have always liked it. Even the movies most people consider good I cant be bothered to watch more then one.
-
American Ninja
American Ninja 2
All cheesy ninja movies from the 80s.
Grin
Heh I remember those I had them on tape as a kid. I just remember him blocking 3 or 4 arrows in a row with the end or a shovel.
-
Highlander - There can be only one.....with a bunch of sequels
There are no sequels to Highlander, there are no sequels to Highlander, there are no sequels to Highlander!
But the last made for tv movie that Sci-Fi made/aired a few years ago was terrible. It made the 2nd sequel with Mario Van Peebles look like the greatest thing ever.
But to my point, there are no sequels!

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey
The first one is arguable about how good it is but the second I fully admit is crappy. I enjoy watching them both, though.

How can you say Willow was crappy?! ??? That movie rocks! A personal favorite of mine that sucked, but I always watch is Masters of the Universe. I must have watched that dozens of times when I was a kid.
I also enjoy Independence Day. Its cheesy, but a good cheese, like Brie. :laugh2:
-
+1 on masters of the universe. If I was in a band, my instrument of choice would be the cosmic keys. ;D

I heard distant rumors about this Bill and Ted 3, but this sounds like it it closer to reality. I'll probably be seeing it the theater if it really comes out!

+1 on masters of the universe. If I was in a band, my instrument of choice would be the cosmic keys. ;D

Teen Wolf.
Mannequin.
Death Race 2000

(both the '70s era versions)
Anything with Nicolas Cage
-
Oh yeah a few more:
Polyester
Female Troubles
and
The Toxic Avenger
-
There is nothing crappy about Polyester. It's my favorite Waters film.

Independence Day
The Day After Tomorrow

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

-
Guys, Teen Wolf was awesome.
I'll add Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. So cheesy and so great.
-
I loved ID4, except for the atrocious fx when the dog escapes the blast in the tunnel. Lordy that was bad. But the rest of the movie was great to me, even the Razzberry award winning speech by Bill Pullman.
Oh yeah...Randy Quaid's son in the movie was a terrible actor as well in it.
Now for another one that technically was great, but is maligned mostly by men: Titanic. Yeah, I thought it was a great movie too. Plus you had young Kate Winslet boobs. In a PG-13 movie!
-
Highlander - There can be only one.....with a bunch of sequels

It's okay, this is a place of healing.....
Admit there are sequels and you will feeling like a million bucks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highlander_(franchise)#Highlander_II:_The_Quickening (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highlander_(franchise)#Highlander_II:_The_Quickening)
I just watched the first episode of the TV series on Netflix and realized that they filmed the quickening scene on the bridge that I walk across everyday. :P
-
There is nothing crappy about Polyester. It's my favorite Waters film.
Indeed, but to the average masses, Polyester and other classic Waters films could be construed as crappy.
"Babs, wheres my eggs, Babs!?"
I loved Mink Stole. RIP.

I just watched the first episode of the TV series on Netflix and realized that they filmed the quickening scene on the bridge that I walk across everyday. :P
That "final" Sci-Fi show was worse than awful. And I did enjoy the tv show. Interesting premise with the watchers. But, the sequel one where they go into space or whatever... Man, I still remember seeing that in the theater. :banghead:
Is that bridge in Vancouver? I know they filmed a lot of the series there. Time to fire up Netflix. I remember watching the series finale (without realizing it was the finale) and need to watch it again.
-
Highlander is one of my favorite movies. I'm not sure I would put it in the "crappy" category. The TV show was almost better than the movie (at least the middle seasons anyway).
That last TV movie "The Source" was bad. I really wish I could un-watch it somehow it was that bad.
I actually thought Endgame was okay for a Highlander sequel.
---------------------------
Anyway my two favorite crappy movies - "Kentucky Fried Movie" and "Pootie Tang".
-
I get a kick out of "Brain Scan" once in a while. you have to look past the cheezy late 80's early 90's special effects.
I had the computer he uses in the movie... it DIDN'T do the things shown in the movie  of course it was only a 386 running at a blistering 16mhz :dunno
-
Highlander was awesome - sequels and series were absolute CRAP!
Remo Williams was good for what it was - entertaining!
A recent crappy movie I enjoyed - Jonah Hex
-
THERE ARE NO HIGHLANDER SEQUELS, THERE ARE NO HIGHLANDER SEQUELS!!!!
Dammit, people read! Side note: I do own Endgame on DVD. BUT THERE ARE NO HIGHLANDER SEQUELS!
Another movie to throw on the list: Kuffs - starring Christian Slater and Milla Jovovich. I've seen that a few times.
-
I'll add Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. So cheesy and so great.
+100
Professional assassination. It's the highest form of public service.
;D

Love that movie. Spend a night watching Ice Pirates and Spaceballs. It doesn't get much better.

Ice Pirates
Love that movie. Spend a night watching Ice Pirates and Spaceballs. It doesn't get much better.
Damn it. I knew someone was going to beat me to it. Ice Pirates is HILARIOUS. Two favorite parts that make me piss myself laughing are the space herpes scene, and the part where the robot falls off the catwalk and does the robot dance move on the way down. :laugh2:
-
Yea Ice Pirates is a classic. I need to get that one haven't seen it since the 80s.

Boondock Saints, Notting Hill, Constantine

I used to watch Street Trash when I was younger.
A good/funny/gross/sick/nasty movie but don't know if I can handle it now:

-
Most of the "Ernest" movies. At least the older ones....
-
Most people I share this with think it sucks, but it is one of my all time favorite horror movies, and stars Chuck Connors (of The Rifleman)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourist_Trap_%28film%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourist_Trap_%28film%29)
They used to show this all the time on Big Chuck and Little John, a Cleveland late night skit/monster movie show, now sadly off the air after 30 years.
Scared the crap out of me as a kid. Mannequins are creepy!
-
Constantine was considered crappy? I thought it was a great movie, too.
-
Constantine is 46% on the Tomatometer. Boondock Saints is 19%. Both really are pretty dumb, if you think about it. Constantine gets some leeway since it's based in a fantasy world so it doesn't have to play by the same rules. They're both pretty goofy. I could list off some of the ridiculous elements, but I prefer to just turn a blind eye to them because I find the whole to be much greater than the sum of its parts in both cases.
edit: grammar
-
@NIN: Hehehehehh. Your avatar.
Finally someone who gets what my username means
I always get "oh so it means you like Nine Inch Nails" and when i say no it means a 3ft tall pervert ninja there like wtf lol

Tourist Trap is a classic. I used to see it all the time on those monster movie marathons. Very creepy movie. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. I think I need to pick it up.
-
Goldmember, mainly because of Tom and Gwyneth in the intro, and also because of the very crappy Holland jokes by Goldmember.
-
I must say that two of the cheesiest 80's movies that I loved were "Howard the Duck" and "Big Trouble In Little China" and don't forget "An American Werewolf In London". Most embarrassing 80's movie moment was when my mom dropped me and a friend off at the mall to see "Heavy Metal" and decided on a whim to go see it with us. My dad was pissed at me for weeks! She must have given it a bad review ???
-
I still love "Big Trouble In Little China" and "An American Werewolf In London"...not so much on the "Howard the Duck" anymore, but I liked it as a kid. My parents were always pretty open with what I was allowed to watch. I think I seen "Heavy Metal" at the drive-in with them when I was like 7 years old...LOL
I also remember seeing "Up In Smoke" and "Escape From New York" (Another classic) with them at the drive-in too.
-
Solar Babies
you just know, it's ACUTALLY going to end up like that. I watch it as more of a... preparedness type of video.

-
Starman
-
Oh wow, good choices, The Wraith, Big Trouble in Little China, and Howard the Duck!
I saw Howard the Duck in the movie theater with my buddy! We both LIKED it at the time and I can still sort of like it.
Big Trouble in Little CHina is full of so many great one liners. "Its all in the reflexes"
The Wraith was just so over the top. Did you know that car was just a mid '80s Dodge Daytona with a fancy body and some work done to the engine?
-

-

-
when i was a kid i thought American Samurai was the coolest movie I had ever seen. Now that I am a adult, i think its one of the worst movies i have ever seen. The acting is terrible, there is a ton of mess ups. In one seen this guy gets his arm cut off, then killed, a few scenes later you can see him practicing his martial arts.
-
Real Genius
-
Real Genius
That's not a crappy movie. Typical 80's popcorn flick.
Top Secret on the other hand.... :)
-
Lawnmower man is still one of my favorites, but the sequel was really really bad ???
-
Lawnmower man sucked dude ...
I guess I just have issues with all the early 90’s movies that treated cyberspace as some magical virtual world that you can run around in. Even back then when I was likes … ya thats not how it works …

I'm with you on this. I also get turned off by current movies/TV shows that use computers in the "Hackers" way. Where it almost looks like they are playing a video game when hacking into a computer. Or when they take a picture and blow it up a million times until a person walking 2 miles in the distance is seen and suddenly super clear and recognizable.
-
Yah, crappy grainy security immage..
Enhance...
Enhance...
Enhance...
Look, in that cars cupholder... A peanut, same as what was found in the crime scene!
-
You guys remember 1995 Hackers, first movie with Angelina Jolie.
That movie had it all. Hacking that looked like playing a video game, virtual cyberspace, image displaying on their face.
I think after seeing that I pretty much hated all movies that had computers in them.
Hackers 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKPz0vM5iRg#ws)
-
I'd like to file "Harry and the Hendersons" under crappy 80's movies that I enjoy way too much.

Hackers 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKPz0vM5iRg#ws)
Yea, Hackers was the worst culprit. I also found it funny that it was obviously supposed to be based in somewhat of the future (or at least I always thought), yet a lot of the "hacker" things they were doing were outdated. Also the hardware they were using and going crazy over was on the verge of being outdated when the movie was released. I still remember this scene...when they were at a party checking out a computer in one of the rooms and one of them says something like "Whoa this thing is blazing fast...it has a 56k modem"....I fell on the floor laughing at that. 56k modems were already old news by at least 4 years by then.
-
So I did a little bit of research and found that they actually say 28.8k not 56k. And that 56k came out around 97-98. Hackers came out in 95. But my point is still valid since 28.8k modems were pretty much old news by 95.
-
I still love that movie... as crappy as it was.
I pull it out and watch it every now and then.
"Cereal Killer... as in Fruit Loops"
-
You guys remember 1995 Hackers, first movie with Angelina Jolie.
Yeah, and she's virtually unrecognizable if you're only familiar with how she looks after the tons of plastic surgery.
Another similar experience can be had with "Blue Juice" and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Angelina looks TONS better in Hackers, for sure...
-
Watch RoboCop last night - wow that move is more comedy now than anything ;D
Another great bad movie is The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension....what a riot
-
HarumaN: I agree on Angelina. I think she is way hot in a dirty kind of way in Hackers. Sure, she is still hot...but in a fake California way..which isn't really my preference.
boykster: Robocop is a great classic movie. So is Buckaroo Banzai.

Whoa whoa WHOA. Im gone for a couple days and you guys are talking ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about one of the greatest movies OF ALL TIME?!?! ROBOCOP!??! :o I LOVE that movie. Its a great movie, aside for the stop motion, whats wrong with that movie? And, to the great Phil Tippett, the stop motion in that movie is rad, I personally like it. I would prefer that than stupid CGI, most of the time it looks so cartoony anyway. Damn. Robocop rules. That is the movie that made me want to make movies!
-
Two movies that get my vote:
The Boogens
(http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTkxNTU5MDE0MV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwODE1Mjk5._V1._SY317_.jpg)
Great White aka The last Shark
(http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTIyMjU1NzYxOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwMDA2Mjg5._V1._SY317_.jpg)
Saw both at Lakewood Mall cinema and then a trip to the Electronic Coral for some games back in the 1980s.
Real scary crap. :laugh2:

I love Robocop. Yes it has cheese moments but a timeless classic in my eyes.
Ok Bootay, youre off the hook. What "cheese moments" are you referring to? That movie is pure gold. GOLD! ;D

Watch RoboCop last night - wow that move is more comedy now than anything ;D
Another great bad movie is The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension....what a riot

Brewster's Millions. I wouldn't consider that crappy. But I always enjoy watching it.

John Candy has some great lines in that one when he is catching.
A couple of other good baseball "themed" movies I like are Mr. Destiny and Taking Care of Business.

I have to throw in The Guyver. One of the worst manga to film translations ever made. The script writer basically made it up as he went and the best part they got Mark Hamill to co-star.
Here is a clip the american movie.

I'm pretty sure that The Movie Channel lost some sort of bet with the producers, and so it showed on that channel almost daily for most of the 80's -
Beastmaster.
in the same vein, but on a much lower profile - The Sword and the Sorcerer.
Both terribly written, directed and acted. Love 'em.

I loved The Guyver anime. I never seen the live action movie until 2 weeks ago. It was pretty bad. Reminded me of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie" mixed with Power Rangers. Now some of you might be thinking "Hey I liked the TMNT movie." Well that's fine but The Guyver anime was very violent and was adult themed. The live action movie was zany and corny and sort of geared for kids. And what I hated most was they had Jimmy Walker (J.J. from Good Times) as one of the bad guys. And he would often rap while fighting....and he had a couple of lines that used the word "DYNOMITE!". Really stupid...and no where near a faithful translation. I did think they did a decent job on The Guyver's armor though. Especially for the time.

Opps...double post.
-
Guyver II is miles ahead of the first one. Still cheese, but much better.

I was going to watch part 2 soon, but after being subjected to part, 1 I decided to wait a while. Maybe I will give it a shot after all.

You have 15 seconds to comply.

I usually quote this when I go to bars to pick up chicks: Dead or alive, youre coming with me!
:laugh2:

After watching Robocop I wanted to program a car-alarm with custom sounds.
Please step away from the vehicle (when sumone entered radius)
You have 15 seconds to comply (waiting......)
I'm an now authorized to use physical force. (boom, alarm goes with gunfire/fights)

Commando (the ice cream on Arnold's face along with the rest of the cute beginning is priceless)
Undercover Brother (probably seen this 50 times)
A Night At The Roxbury
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka
CB4
Starship Troopers (not really a crappy movie per se, but considered "bad" by most of my friends)

I love Commando and Starship Troopers, and yes most people I talk to consider ST bad as well. I thought it was entertaining. Never watched the sequels...and I am afraid to.

With the way the people are connected in the movie, I think he was just taking the title of the thread literally.
