Good morning all,
I would love to connect a flatscreen TV to my PC, however there is a small problem.
The video card is a GT330 and it supports: HDMI - DVI - VGA
The TV supports: COAX - Scart - RGB - S-Video
Googled a bit and found this cable: http://www.allekabels.nl/Monitor-/-VGA-Kabels/19/1090879/Monitor-%28VGA%29-Male-naar-Component-Kabel.html (http://www.allekabels.nl/Monitor-/-VGA-Kabels/19/1090879/Monitor-%28VGA%29-Male-naar-Component-Kabel.html)
Would this cable allow me to hook up my PC to my TV?
If so, will there be any trouble with resolutions \ distorted screen?
It would be nice to still be able to read this website and read my emails.
If you know a better way to hook it up let me know.
Any advice is welcome. :)
If all of the above is not possible could anyone suggest me a more powerfull videocard than the GT330 (2GB version) containing S-Video?
(Also, I hope this is posted in the correct section of the forums.)

It is unlikely that this will work. That is a passive cable designed for some laptops and projects which can either output (for video sources such as computers) or accept (for video display devices such as projectors) YPbPr component via their HD15 "VGA" connector. This is very uncommon.
This cable MAY work if your TV has inputs with RCA cables and you set your PC to output sync-on-green. It's usually not easy to turn this option on.
You can, however, hook your PC up to your TV via either RGB interface or the SCART interface (if it supports RGB, which most apparently do) using a suitable cable. The "RGB" interface is probably easier. What kind of connectors does it have? You can buy VGA to BNC cables pretty readily.
If this is an SDTV (not supporting HD resolutions), you will have to make your PC output suitable video somehow. You may be able to use the "Soft15kHz" utility if you're running Windows. Linux users can put a special modeline in their X configuration file. I have no idea what Mac users do :)

Thanks a lot for the info! :)
Do you have any idea or this would make me able to hook it up:
Merk: HQ
EAN: 5412810053216
Connector 1: Scart
Soort plug 1: Male
Connector 2: VGA
Soort plug 2: Female
If not, could anyone link me to a cable that would?
Any advice is welcome. :)
