I even told the GF that Im going to a friends house to play all night. She sighed. I dont know if its from the fact that Im a grown man going over to play a video game at my friends house til the wee hours of the night, or if she is sad that she isnt going to see me. Hm. :dunno

I already have it.
I have 2 360s in the house. 1 modded and 1 unmodded. The modded one is to play games I have no interest in playing online and the unmodded is for playing store bought games online. I also use the modded one to see if a game is worth buying to play online. MvC3 I have no interest in playing online because it is not that type of game. It is really good though. If you like the new SF games you will like this one. Same art style.
Haven't had a chance to really get into it, but from what I played it is pretty badass.

Thats awesome. Yeah, I played it at the Comic Con, got second place in the tournament. Got ---my bottom--- handed to me by some super tall skinny guy. There is a LOT going on, on screen, but I think it will be fun. Im kinda sketch on the characters though, there are quite a few lame ones. I dont see Venom on the roster, maybe he will be DLC. Yeah, screw playing on line. Lame sauce.

From what I've read there are going to be quite a bit of DLC and Venom was supposed to either be unlockable or DLC but I know he's in there.

I have to say...I was up until 3am playing MvC3 last night and I love it. Great game. And Galactus will kick your ass.
I did manage to beat him three times though. Unlocked 3 characters, Akuma, Sentinel, and Hsien-Ko.
Honestly you have to be a Street Fighter fanatic like myself to enjoy this game and I love it. Highly recommended.

Oh bootay! How is Sentinel looking? Is hiyato in there too? I got a chub when you mentioned Galactus. Is he rad looking, or do you just fight his hands or something? Or does he do kind of an Onslaught thing from Marvel vs Capcom?

Yea, some of the character choices were kind of lame...I don't mind She-Hulk so much but X-23? yea that's pretty lame. On the Marvel side I think the characters are fine for the most part but I would have liked to see The Thing or Human Torch or anyone from Fantastic Four who have yet to make an appearance in any of these games. Thor was a good addition although I do not like his controls and his moves seem a little underpowered.
As for the Capcom guys...yea there is some suckage...why do we need 2 guys from Resident Evil? And why the guy from the ---smurfy--- Bionic Commando remake? Tron Bonne is fine but why no Megaman?!
Sentinel looks pretty much like the 3D version of the 2D version..and the controls are pretty similar too.
Did not see Hyato yet.
Galactus is not playable...and when you fight him you are standing on a ledge and he is only shown from the chest up....so you fight his chest, head and arms.
I have it already because i have a modded 360 and games always get released ahead of time on the pirate scene. It just got released somewhere else before USA is all and someone ripped and released it Region Free so I can play it on my 360. Happens quite often. Like I said before, I use the modded 360 to test games out and see if they are worthy of a buy for my unmodded one. If a game is just ok....I will keep it around until I am bored with it, if a game sucks I won't and if a game is epic or worthy of Xbox Live play I will buy it.
I would definitely say MvC3 is worthy of a buy.

Oh and on Galactus...you have to fight random doppelganger characters first before Galactus allows you to fight him. They usually end up being Dr. Doom and Wesker for some odd reason....not sure why they didn't have a couple of Galactus's heralds instead. If you want to see him it in action click the link. If you prefer to wait and see it for yourself don't. ;D

I bought a sfIV stick on sale awaiting the release of this game. The vs games always seemed a bit more "arcadey" than the regular street fighter games and I loved them for that. Gotta admit though, I thought mvsc 2 was a step backwards. So is this more like the first one or the second?

I think this one is very similar to 2...but to be honest I didn't see a humongous difference between 1 & 2 aside from 3d backgrounds.

Actually Mr. Fantasic is not a selectable character. Neither is Emma Frost and Frank West. The info above is not accurate.

Oh...no Elektra or Juggernaut either. These are all characters that they were going to put in but at the last minute pulled them. I wouldn't doubt if they all appeared as DLC though.

I just took the list I got from hadoken, which I figured to be pretty reliable, but perhaps it isn't. I don't see Sentinel on there either, and you've already unlocked him apparently.

It's all good.
I unlocked all of the unlockable characters and the list I posted is it. And Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath are DLC characters. Other than them I have my list all playable. Wish there were more.
One thing that is cool though, if you pick a character with a button other than A you will get an alternate costume. So Spidey has the black symbiote costume and the Iron Spider-Man one. Hulk has Green, Gray and Red, Iron man has War Machine and Silver Senterion etc etc

Unfortunately that is just the way that the companies are these days. They purposefully leave content out that is ready so that they can double dip your wallet. It's pretty evident when DLC is available on launch...but whatever. I can't complain because I download a lot of games for free, which is probably part of the reason that they do it to begin with. heh

Ok so I played it last night. I love it. GREAT game. Galactus is hard. Im still trying to get used to only the 3 buttons though. Im so used to double tapping one button to make em launch, now there is a seperate button for it. I wish there were more characters to unlock though, 4 is ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---. Sentinel rules face.

There are a lot of colors and things going on with the fighters, let alone the backgrounds. Its like an ADD kids dream.

I definitely want to see more marvel characters...I mean Shuma Gorath?! Who gives a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about that character....don't you think Venom or Ghost Rider would have brought about more interest?! On the subject of the RE characters....way too many...if they wanted to add yet another gun character they should have considered The Punisher instead...Chris and Jill are just normal humans just like him. But yea...they need to get better and more interesting characters for DLC because so far..who cares?...I could live without Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine.
