I hope this hasn't been asked recently. I did a seach, but nothing came up after a quick glance thru. I actually have 2 questions. First, I have a ATI Radeon 64 Card, AGP 4X on a Windows XP machine. I'm using the S-video out port and going into an RF Converter to connect all this thru coax to the TV in my Arcade. The resolution for the TV (set by the video card) is 800X600 at 60Hz. I also have a computer monitor connected to the machine at the moment so I can make sure that there is a picture coming out of the card, and so I can see the text in Windows to set stuff up. Well, I can see and play the Daphne games on the monitor, but I don't get a picture on the TV. BTW, all the Mame games and PC things work on the TV and the monitor at the same time, it's just the Daphne stuff giving me problems. So, what could be causing the Daphne stuff to not show up on the TV? I'm guessing it has something to do with the refresh rate, but I'm not sure.
Second question...how much better would the picture be if I bought another TV that took S-video input instead of going through the RF converter into coax?

I got it figured out. I found out that when I play any type of video (AVI, MPEG) it wasn't playing on the TV. Once I noticed that, I knew it was something with the card. There's an option in the software that keeps video from going to the TV. Once I set that, it started working. Thanks.

Daphne is the Dragon's Lair emu right? So how does it look on the set?

Try running at 640x480 or 720x480 with an INTERLACED MPEG. Since TVs are interlaced, and the original game was interlaced, you should make sure your MPEG is interlaced.

I know that when I used the DVD2Daphne utility with the DVD ROM version of DL, I got interlaced video. Kind of annoying to watch but too lazy to go in and work with them. Would look good on a TV I bet.

I have the same setup and am also wondering if I should get a TV with an direct s-video input. Did you get one and is it better? Also do you have problems with blurry text in windows mode, but when you run the games they work fine?

Yes S-Video is always better than the RF converter into a Coax (haven't really seen Composite, though it's supposed to be even better).
