Ebay recently completed sales query (http://completed.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=%22mortal%20kombat%22%20sega%20saturn&rt=nc&LH_Complete=1&_dmpt=Video_Games_Games&_fln=1&_ipg=&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283&_rdc=1)

Seems to be all over the place.  As low as $8 and as high as $55.  Weird.  I have to get around to completing my US Saturn library at some point.  It's one of the only ones I still care about.  I got to like 95% of it 5-6 years ago and never completed.

I don't remember that game ever having any rarity nor being any good.  No idea why people might pay $50 for it.

If ultimate mk3 is any indicator (like spending 20 minutes to watch the supreme demonstration) I cant see why anyone outside of a collector would want it either.

Malenko, no reason to BRAG about the SIZE of your MK Collection...  This aint the locker room...

I never played the Saturn Port so I will believe you, as long as we agree that MK Trilogy is awesome, then I will not have to hurt you.

tsk tsk not BRAGGING , just saying I love almost everything MK. Load times just killed the console versions (cept the N64 version, but they cut characters) so the PC version is the best unless you run the PSX version with a POPs loader on the PSP. The saturn version is good for play but the load problems are the worst. Pick yourself up the saturn version of UMK3 and run the supreme demonstration, see how long that takes.

EDIT: As for extra MK stuff I meant I got a MK Dragon and Sub Zero from the pinewood princess =D And forsome reason I have the complete MK1 Kard Kollection, lol

Nice, when MK2 was out they had a bunch of action figures to come out, a buddy of mine started collecting them, I dont know if he still has them.

You got those too?

I've gotta disagree with ya on that one.  I can't vouch for the psp port, but aside from that the n64 version is the best.  Sure they cut characters, but they were the crappy ones.  (MK1 Versions of characters, kintaro and goro).  The n64 version was the only one I tried that gave shang his full morph set without delays or glitches.  The only thing that truely hurt the n64 version was the lack of male chamelon.  Btw, Khamelon/Chamelon might be the earliest example of a console exclusive bonus character.  ;)

Aside from the n64 version the pc version is indeed the version to have though.  That is assuming it'll still play on modern OS's.

well youre a nintendo fan boy, so I expected that from you. :lol  The N64 version was terrible, cut frames and cut characters, worst thing was playing it on that controller. In addition to missing MK1 Raiden,MK1 Kano,  MKII Kung Lao, and MKII Jax , Goro, and Kintaro that you mentioned, they also cut unmasked subzero (gave masked subzero some of his moves) and make you pick human smoke the old fashioned way (an ultimate kombat kode).

I dont like the fact they cut Kahn's Arena from the background list (they cut the bank too but that one sucked). On the upside they did add the 3 on 3 versus mode and had a 3 tiered stage. I wont lie, I played the ever loving crap out of it on N64.  And yes, they have released "hacks"to the PC version to make it run on Vista and 7

Nice, when MK2 was out they had a bunch of action figures to come out, a buddy of mine started collecting them, I dont know if he still has them.

No, but I do have an actual MKII arcade machine =)  IF he has them still and wants to sell em, LMK

I think MK Trilogy sucks.  No use for any version of MK.   :P

It's funny, all of the MK games sucked on Saturn but all of the Capcom/SNK fighters are best on Saturn. X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (and many other Capcom fighters) with a 4MB cart has 0 load time. I was quite impressed by that, especially since the PSX version have terrible load times.

The gun games are what I miss most and you can't even go back for them.

The platform games were decent, too.  There just weren't many of them.

Meh, I did the Sega Saturn thing.  I had most of the games, I had most of the worthy imports.  And just... meh.  In hindsight, nothing I miss on that system.

I like the Capcom/SNK games on the Saturn. Other than that there are a few others but I wouldn't say that the Saturn is the best Sega console. But since i am a collector I had to have one in my collection.

Yesterday I was going through a box and found my high school diploma.  I pick it up and open the case and a manual for FIFA 97 for Sega Saturn fell out.  Wish I had the $5 or so I spent on that game back then instead.   ;D

The Capcom / SNK ports were good for their time, but MAME's negated the need now.

Right...I can agree with that. I am just a collector so I collect all consoles and their games. There are collections released on the Xbox (such as Capcom Classics Collection) that are probably better than the Saturn ports now too. But unfortunately I am an OCD video game hoarder and feel the need to have it all.  ;D

the gun games were the best part, only place to play Virtua Cop 1 and 2 (cept maybe PC?) Alas, I did find a reasonably priced MKII (11 shipped, CIB) but MKT for saturn still eludes me :/

Yeah, there were PC versions.  In fact some PC light guns shipped with that and HOTD 1/2.

I have those!  Got them all when I was younger and stupid me I opened them..  opened all of them except for Smoke, I kept that one in the box to this day.

I also have some MK comics, pogs, MK vs. SF card game..  but that's about it

I did get to go see the live action MK show they had at the Arrowhead Pond back in the 90s, it was awesome. (back then)  They were just doing some acrobatic ninja crap on stage with some high energy music and about halfway through the show, Scorpion came out and walked to the edge of the stage and started looking around the audience and outta nowhere the spotlight shined on this guy in a business suit who was sitting next to my friend and Scorpion points at him and yells "YOUU!"  and the guy stood up looking around like what the heck and was all, "Who me?"  and then Scorpion yells "Get over here!"  and then the guy took off running through the crowd towards the stage and turned out to be Johnny Cage!  Dude, we were sitting next to Johnny Cage for half the show!  :laugh2:

No, but I do have an actual MKII arcade machine =)

So lucky!  That ones my favvvv.  I've been trying to get one for some time now.

I loooooove me some MK but I'm not a collector. I recently got rid [donated] a box of old gaming stuff to a family my fiance's work is sponsoring. Included was MK mythologies. Everyone talked so much crap about that game, but I thought it was great. The live action parts were bad in a good way.

I do have my hasbro MK1 shang tsung! Lost his robe though.
