Title: What LCD Monitor for 60in1
Post by: woolley on January 25, 2011, 08:49:57 pm
I'm building a 60in1 cabinet and I'd like to replace the monitor with an LCD.  Am I correct that they just plug into the VGA input on the 60in 1 board?  Also, since most of the 19" monitor have a 5:4 aspect ratio, will the games display correctly or should I spend a little more and buy one that has 4:3 aspect ratio?

Check whether the resolution/refresh rate is supported. Otherwise you might need a separate upscaler box.

How do you know what refresh rates are supported by the game.  I searched a lot and found a thread addressing this and I think I am going to order the HP LP2065.  It seems that everybody loves this monitor.  Now I just hope that I can make or modify a bezel to fit.

maws (http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/). Has resolution and refresh rates listed for every game.
