So I've done some research on this on the internet and can't seem to find a definitive list of "true" Dreamcast Vertical Shmups.
Here are the requirements:
1) Must be a vertical shmup
2) Must have the option in the game to rotate the screen
I'm building a vertical cab and I'd like to add some Dreamcast shooters to the mix (using NullDC).
So far, the following games fit the requirements I listed above:
1 ) Ikaruga (confirmed)
2 ) Psyvariar 2: The Will To Fabricate (confirmed)
3 ) Under Defeat (confirmed)
4 ) Triggerheart Exelica? (haven't tried this yet but it may fit the bill)
5 ) Trizeal (confirmed)
6 ) Gunbird 2? (haven't tried this yet but it may fit the bill)
7 ) Radilgy? (haven't tried this yet but it may fit the bill)
8 ) Karous? (haven't tried this yet but it may fit the bill)
9 ) Shikigama no Shiro II (confirmed)
10 ) Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! (haven't tried this yet but it may fit the bill)
There are other vertical shooters for the Dreamcast available, but they are made for a horizontal setup, and I'm looking specifically for those that will work on a ertical setup without any borders on the sides.
Thanks in advance!

If it is for a cab, you should use naomi emulators like makaron or demul. For vertical shooters the screen is turned.
For your list of vertical games :
Karous
Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta!
Psyvariar 2 - The Will To Fabricate
Ikaruga
Radirgy (not noa/noir)
Shikigami No Shiro II
Trigger Heart Exelica
Trizeal
Under Defeat

One thing to be careful of is the rotation of the vertical monitor.
I have a vertical cab for my PCB collection with the monitor turned clockwise (left hand side at the top) to play time pilot, bomb jack, star force, pengo etc...
When I tried my jap dreamcast in the cab to play ikaruga, it expected the monitor to be rotated anti-clockwise, so I'll need to setup a yoke flip (unless someone knows a better way) as I can't rotate this monitor its fixed in its current vertical orientation. My Donkey Kong Jr PCB expects this orientation as well so I will need to come up with some solution to this.
I've attached an image to illustrate this.

Good to know... the rotation part. Luckily, my setup is the one on the right in the diagram that's rotated to the left. The bottom of my monitor is facing to the right. The reason? My front end, Maximus Arcade only supports vertical monitors in that position. If you rotate it the other way the front end will be upside down. Luck prevails again! :applaud:
Thanks for the info.
I'll edit my original post once I try the games and confirm that they work.
