Title: Exidy Cheyenne problems
Post by: newkillergenius on October 04, 2010, 01:27:32 pm
Just working on another Exidy situation here, I have most everything sorted on this machine, but the
gun constantly fires during play.  I disconnected the rifle and powered it on.  It still constantly fires.
It is obviously not the cherry switch in the gun, if it still occurred while the gun was disconnected- so- duh?  :lol

Any suggestions?  ???

OK, did- seems to be OK... I am starting to wonder if it is on the actual board itself.  Is the gunfire regulated by a chip?  I have 2 or three other boardsets that do not boot up but I could use parts from them.... :dunno

Have you asked Mike Doyle or Dave Widel ? They're the guys I would go to.

No one is posting there anymore, buy you might want to try posting on Dave's MultiExidy forum.

De nada.

My 440 knowledge is limited to how awesome the games were, but Dave and Mike really seem to know their stuff and seem to be happy to help others. I know that Mike has been under the weather recently, but he might be up to some questions, especially since I bet he can point you in the right direction quickly.

And you REALLY should grab a multi for that Cheyenne, if you haven't already.

So far no replies.  As far as Collex'n- I'd love to get one in there, but I heard there were no longer any for sale?

Hopefully I will be able to pull this out this weekend and have a look at the board.  I am sure so far that it is nothing between the gun & the board now.
