I just bought the gun off of ebay.... Its for House of Dead 2 but when I hook the gun up it will say the gun is plugged in but when i go to calibrate the gun it wont shoot the X. Its on a old CRT screen so it should work. I dont have a memory pack in the gun does that matter.
Thanks everyone for the help!

trigger but on th einside may be worn or cracked I used a little hot glue on mine to fix it to make up for the space/play between the two.
another thing is the monitor must be running composite sync where the H & V are together and not seperate.

are you too close to the tv? try moving back a little.
that gun worked fine with crt vga monitor+vga box.
-
Have you tried moving that sliding switch to a different position? I don't recall what it does.
I have the same gun and never had any problems with it.
-
im just using a old Sony Trinitron CRT 27 inch... is that ok?

Yeah

thanks for the help guys....
When i get home I will try it.

around 4 ft from that size screen is good I was not sure if you were using a arcade monitor and if so the H and V needs to be together but on a regular TV there already all set.
if still no go its where your trigger platic hits the push button on the inside it's either worn or cracked but as mentioned prior a dab of hot glue to fill that gap worked for me.
maybe you managed to get my old gun somehow ;D

those guns are CRAP. I bought two, they don't calibrate. even when they are working they won't calibrate. Sell it and get the official SEGA gun (expensive), or the MadCAtz gun.

Never had a single problem with mine. EVER.

me either and they were the gun of choice for me as I had them all and sold the rest to get a pair of those becuase they worked best for me.
they even worked on my 60" rear projection TV and they also worked well on the nanao MS8-26SU arcade monitor/machine in 15K
