I'm curious about what the carrying capacity is (in arcade terms) for these boxy little "urban" vehicles? (Scion XB, Kia Soul, Nissan Cube). Can you fit an upright? or a pinball machine?
-
Ohh I like this question.. I'd say no. I have a friend that has a Soul in Kentucky, I'll have him take measurements and pics.

I rented a soul for a few days back about a month ago. It's definitely bigger on the inside than you might think, but I'm guessing getting a full side cab in there would be a very tight squeeze
I'd love to see the answer, too!

This might fit:

As per the specs (http://specs), the Scion XB has 122.5 cubic feet of volume available, so you could fit ~1,715 joysticks into the car or ~141,120 buttons. Damn, that's a lot!
;D

Check out what I got in my Honda Fit (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=94443.0):

OK I guess the question is answered based on the crazy photos in your thread!

You could fit a sega genesis with the cd add on.. But not with the 32x ... Unfortunately..(http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:T0dgoAt3bCJJsM::www.computercloset.org/SegaGenesisCD.htm&t=1&usg=AFrqEzfudSj6gl65fSLf3SM_x35oBTwasA)

It'll work if you tie the 32X on the roof.

From my friend in Kentucky
the back hatch is 36"x30" but the inside dimensions are a few inches bigger. With the seats down, the trunk is 55" deep

4' 7"
Too short for the average upright video. Enough for a cabaret and cocktail.
How long is a pinball body?

Im going to cram a pinball into the back of a Tahoe on Friday, unless my friend lets me down in which case its comin home hanging out the back of my Jeep!
-
Get a wrench and you can pull out the passenger and back seats if you have them... add a lot more room... I pulled out all the seats but the drivers seat in my old 95 Montero and I could fit all kinda of stuff in it... I miss that truck...

My Scion xB has been hauling pinball machines for many years without issue. But it's time to move on to a new vehicle.
Anyone driving anything comparable they're happy with?

Don't make em anymore so have to buy used, but I'm digging my Honda Element.

I’ve been hearing “Element fixing to come back out” for years and I’ve given up. I’m gonna go see if I can actually fit in anything on the market this afternoon.
