Hello,
I've seen the video below (link).
http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2010/07/daytona_usa_mini_arcade_cabinet.html (http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2010/07/daytona_usa_mini_arcade_cabinet.html)
On the video the bloke is playing Outrun 2 (2006)
What emulator is he using for Outrun 2 (2006)?
Thanks

I could not spend all day waiting for that video to load, but if you are asking which emulator allows you to play Daytona USA, then I believe it is "Model2"

Did you even watch the video? He states that he used Model2 emu! Very nice work, gave me some ideas.

Model 2 is only the name of the sega hardware being emulated. Most likely the emulator hes using though is called "Nebula" as i believe thats the best model 2 emulator out right now. also its amazing he can fit a good enough computer inside that small thing. I mean wouldnt the motherbord alone be bigger then that? PLus he can play decent 3d games like outrun 2006. Pretty nice.

Looking for nebula and also found an emulator called MODEL 2 it is more current 2009.

Nebula does not emulate model 2!!! Nebula is a CPS1 & 2, Neo-Geo, PGM and Konami emulator. The only playable model 2 emulator is called "Model 2 Emulator: 0.9" You can find it at Nebulas homepage like BobA pointed out. Cant wait till MAME has full Model 2 support.

No, I stated in my post the video was taking forever to load so I just provided some information which might (or might not) help someone out.

unclet - I'm pretty sure that question was meant for the original poster. ;)

Thank you for your replies.
I know the emulator used for Daytona is Model 2, but what I meant was what emulator is being used to run Outrun 2 (2006)?
Thank you.

Yes i definitely meant it towards the original poster, sorry for any confusion.

I believe now that outrun 2 (2006) on the video is a PC port and not emulated...?
Can any one confirm this?
D

Yeah, it had take two days for my login confirmation and you finally found yourself...
You're right, outrun 2006 is a PC game, not emulated. PocketLucho is a big artist making minicabs, I think this is his first built-in PC cab but he has done more mini-cabs (only by watching this one you realize that this is not his first attemp :)) with MVS, and so on.
Cant wait till MAME has full Model 2 support.
I think mame is not very focused on 3d games as it send all the work to the main processor, but fortunately we can play great sega 3d games on specific emulators witch take advantage of our gfx cards: Model2 emu for model2 games, demul (or nulldc or makaron) for Naomi/2... Even you can play model3 games with decent speeds with older versions of mame, a NASA PC (or overclocked one ;D) and some frameskipping.
I really hope elSemi (model2 author) go ahead for model3 after he release 1.0 ver of model2
