Title: flying shoot 'em up game, time travel game?

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section!

There's this game I played when I was a kid and vaguely remember it. It was a top-view, flying, shoot 'em up game where you time traveled to different stages? The plane was modern I think. It's killing me trying to remember the name, lol. Thanks for any help!

Don't think it was that (thanks for the try though!), the game scrolled down I think. Every time you beat a stage I think it warped or some sort of effect to get you from one stage to another.

Then again, you might be right...always thought it looked different though, lol!
