Title: mameUI settings
Post by: Smeghead on June 04, 2010, 10:43:58 am
I just switched from regular mame to mameUI (CabMAME) because I want my scores to be held over
Its great but some of the games dont display like they used to in regular mame.

I want all my games to take up as much of the screen as possible, and some, in particular NBA Jam play in a very small screen in the middle of the monitor.
With regular Mame it didnt do this. Does anyone know the setting that controls this? Mame had a 'stretch using hardware' option I wonder if its that.

In additon to settings, is there a recommendation for a FRONTEND for the UI's

The ui's (I Use mameui64)  are aok, but to me are not much more than slight improvement over existing mame...

Since I do front end apps myself (vb based) Ive done front end apps for front end apps myself so it is possible.  Though I figure its unlikely since UI's are front ends in a low key way.

In the "Default Game Options" in the "options" menu -  uncheck the boxes with "Artwork" "Bezel" "Backdrop" etc.

They are located in the Miscellaneous tab. You can enable them via the video settings in game if you ever wish to do so.

. . . having said that, setting the view to "Standard" under the "Screen" tab will probably solve your problem too.
