excellent :applaud:  but it would be nicer if you had documented the whole project for others to learn from it just a thought other than that two thumbs up

Nice Cab. Did you use Laminate on the sides? If you did how easy and how much did it cost to do? I don't really want to paint my cab as I don't think i'll get a good finish.  :)

its painted, mdf undercoat first, then 2 coats of grey primerspray ,then 3 coats of metallic black spray, then coat of clear lacquer
comes out quite well as long areas are sanded smooth first

Looks good, but you should register GameEx.  Also, the front railing for the CP looks dull with the shiny t-mold, you'd be better off painting it black.

Nice looking cabinet, but I don't like the marquee artwork on the side. I guess the cab is too thin to get a scaled down version of the Galaxian side-art on there. I probably would have just left it black...It looks sort of tacked on there awkwardly.

Also, your joysticks look like their a 1/2" too short. Are they just flat mounted to the bottom? Without routing out a crevice for them?

I really like neat bartops and I think that's pretty cool! Well done.

If it was mine I would have gone with orange T-molding instead of chrome. (Was Galaxian orange or green... whichever) and I agree with the poster above about the side art. If that was my only option I'd have just left it black. Also the white marquee retainers I'd have black. But these are niggles from my own personal likes (if it was mine ofc). You've done a good job there and it looks really well built.

What joysticks did you use by the way? Are they 4-way/8-way switchable? Looking how close they are to the buttons I'm wondering if they are Seimetsus.

I really like the cab, but I have to agree that the side art needs a change up.

Hi,i don't know where eles to get side artwork in the uk,the joysticks are just mounted to bottom with no cutout, but that work fine and i don't think the length matters too much if they move freely
and thanks leesdfan, they are 4-8 way switchable they are zippy which i believe is a copy of Seimetsus.
The T-molding should be bright green for a galaxian and poss white cab,but would'nt go that far, might even change marquee if another one comes up.

Nice bartop ! I really dig it, man !

You'll probably get comments about the front panel being a "panel for feet" and not hands  ;D
But I think it's unusual and cool !

Good job !

I got some 12V Led strips I figured 3 48CM should do the job for me. The ones below are not the exact same ones but close enough.
