Title: Can a PlayStation 2 be built into an ATX case?
Post by: spystyle on March 05, 2010, 09:18:06 pm
Hello from Maine :)

Well my daughter and I unplugged the Wii tonight and dusted off the old PS2 !

I really love the PS2 but I find it's fan is annoying sounding. If a PS2 was built into a small ATX case I could use holesaws and whatever to place big quiet fans in all the right places.

Has anyone built a PS2 into an ATX case? Or made their PS2 quieter?

Thanks :)
Craig

The easiest way to make your PS2 sound quieter is to borrow a PS3 for a few days.

Or buy a ps2 slim on a second hand site for a few bucks.
Got one for 40 last year, so 30 must be possible today.

replace the stock fan with another or perhaps get a higher quality pc fan and put it in there instead.

take the old fan out snip the wires where you can cannect them to another and mount a 80mm on the back or something.
