Post by: wild_eyed on March 05, 2010, 10:46:10 am
i know the xbox isnt pc hardware but i figure someone here might be able to help me....

the xbox to jamma convertor is the one seen here:
http://www.arcademvs.com/VIDEO_ACCESSORIES.htm (http://www.arcademvs.com/VIDEO_ACCESSORIES.htm)

my monitor is a wells gardner 19k7601

my images are displaying white fuzz. but the games are displaying decetntly

on the jamma connector there are 5 pins relating to the video
Red
Green
Blue
Ground

and

Sync

the first four are fine i.e. i know where they go,

but on the monitor there are four places were the sync pin could go.
previous games send it to -H sync on the monitor

im sending it there now for the xbox as well

but there are also +H sync -Vsync +vsync that go unused.

any help would be greatly appreciated

tie the sync in with the last 2 pins H and V sync, thats how I had to do it with soft 15 and a break out cable on my wellsgardner

just to clarify, do you mean, take the single sync from the jamma and connect it to -V Sync and -H Sync on the monitor?

hi again.

i connected the i connected the -h sync and the -vsync of the monitor to the sync of the jamma but i still got the same line sthrough the monitor.

the pins on the monitor are as follows

1 Red
2 Green
3 Blue
4 Ground 1
5 +V Sync
6 +H Sync

7 Ground 2
8 -V Sync
9 -H Sync

wires from the jamma are:

Red
Green
Blue
Ground
Sync

Wires are running as follows:

Jamma             Monitor
Red ----------- Red
Blue ----------- Blue
Green ---------- Green
Ground --------- Ground 1
                      +V Sync
                       +H Sync
                      Ground
Sync ----------- -VSync & -HSync

Should i be connecting the jamma ground to the other ground on the monitor?

thank you.

no no the + syncs, should be at the end of RGB connector.
