And the front, I ended up cutting off the bottom  2 3/4 inches due to water damage. Then I built a pedestal like a Taito cabinet to restore the height.

This is all pre-build stuff, (TankStick Max/DTAP podium) except for the "stow-away" Star Wars flight yoke, and auto-calibrating 720 joystick. I also mounted the TV on a rotating swivel so portrait games like Punch-Out would look better.

13   Lightguns / Doubts regarding the power supply for these gunson March 23, 2025, 08:45:59 pm

Hi guys, I don't know much about arcade cabinets. Thinking if this might be doable for a standard PC but have many 'basic' doubts regarding the power supply.

I saw the image in the attachment where the same white connector powers 12V + 24V + ground. And I don't know how that can be achieved yet.
I saw some arcade power supplies linked above, but I've not seen any which come with cables. What's the name of those cables for these connectors and to plug onto the wall socket to search for them?

And how can one physically connect 3 different cables into the same connector? I can't picture how that connection is made...
What's the name of that white connector with the 3 pins inside?

Protection wise, anyone knows of any kind of case/protection for these guns to not have those screws/cables exposed when there are kids around?

Cheers

They finally arrived today. Damn the mail is slow!!
Glad they finally made it. A few years ago, I used to be able to predict within a day or so of when they should arrive, depending on when I drop them in the mail. Usually, 4-5 days to either coast (from KS) was normal. But, something changed a couple years ago, and it seems it's gotten slower.

hmm... I wouldn't use it as a pedal since I'll be using real light guns for those games, but an extra button might be nice to hook up the start button.   Put it on freeplay and everything would be self contained.

Dights should be easily fixed once I get mine... if they ever ship the dang thing.  Frikkin aliexpress.

They had an update a little bit ago that broke some games. I don't know if they've fixed them or not because I haven't really payed attention to them. One issue required you to copy a Window's dll into the game's folder to get audio working.

Other games like HOTD4 had input issues, like shaking the gun had stopped working and the 2-player input was also broken. I know they fixed the shaking issue with the last update.

Edit: I've tested and have no issues with those games. If you're running the latest then I don't think a fix will come from them.

Hoping someone in here can help, I've searched the net, and posted in the Teknoparrot Discord. All of the sudden any Linux based games in Teknoparrot have no sound, Aliens Armageddon, Big Buck Hunter World, Terminator Salvation, Walking dead, Crossfire Maximum Paintball etc. I set the volume keys in the controller setup but they do nothing, and neither does adjusting in the test menu.  I noticed that when I load these games they do not show up in the windows sound mixer, thus no game sound.  I've downloaded clean dumps and reinstalled the games, but the problem still persists. I'm on Win 10 21H2, AMD Ryzen 5, NVIDIA RTX 3070 ti all drivers up to date . Very frustrating, Anyone know how to fix this?
