Hi All,

Super dumb question and I apologize, but is it possible to get "pseudo" scanlines with a 31khz PC CRT Monitor using these native resolutions?  I am trying to use switchres with super resolutions and I can't get anything to work where it is full screen, but it does display in small windows.  I have switchres fully working in retroarch, but anything outside of retroarch just isn't working well.  When I look in the display settings for windows I see the desktop resolution varies from the active resolution which I assume is the main problem.

Also, one more thing.
I often use RDP or VNC to connect to my arcade PC for configuration and other things.
I tried to put a custom resolution of 1024x768 but when the modelines are generated, it gets vertically truncated to 1024x560.

It's very difficult to use this resolution to configure frontends. Is there a way I can force a resolution like 720p, just termporarily, while i do my configuration?
Note, the CRT is turned off at this point. I have smart plugs that I can turn on and off from my phone so i can power on the PC and cabinet separately. I do this when i remotely connect to it for config or adding new games

Thanks again

Hi,

I have a Radeon R9 380X with calamity drivers.
This is connected from the analog DVI to a VGA connector that goes into my CRT, which is a Nanao MS9-29SU.

I'm having some issues but I think they're all related to one thing, which is Super Resolutions not working on my CRT.
For example, Pacman displays 3 windows side by side. Other games go completely out of sync, depending on their resolution.

My default resolution is 640x480, which obviously works fine, but when i start to go to resolutions like 2560x448 or 2560x384, then i run into sync issues and can't see anything on screen because it goes haywire.
The confusing thing is that when I use VMMaker, my CRT is specifically mentioned so why are there unsupported modes? Or are they supported and there's something wrong with my CRT?
Or maybe i'm doing something wrong? I just picked my CRT in the monitor presets and installed modes.

Thanks in advance.

Added games:

GTI Club
Midnight Run
Winding Heat
Thrill Drive
Cart Fury
All Sega Model 2 racers (only works with included Mame version for now)
Racing Jam 1/2
Xtreme Rally
Roads Edge

Fixed a bunch of existing stuff, rebooking non working games.

Added a new feature in the GUI called "Constant Inf" that is an alternative way of applying constant effects to your wheel.
If counter forces don't feel smooth you might want to give this a try and see if it works better for you. Big difference here.

Rave Racer has a feature to invert the ffb depending on if you play the game in standard or deluxe variant.

Have fun.

It's a physical diamond shaped restrictor in 4 way mode, so it doesn't hit the corners. It's boxed shape in 8 way games.

My beef is with the JLF sticks as they feel sloppy, even with the upgraded springs. I prefer a WICO leaf for 4 way games, but this works great for the 4 way horizontal games that I want to play. It's also fine for classic 4 way games, if you can deal with the stick.

I feel like everyone knew this would happen for a couple reasons, but the biggest reason to me is that is was built on a fad that also ended. Even if they had an inexpensive product and higher quality products. To me, the Arcade1up explosion was great for a couple reasons:

  • The masses allowed the development of several great innovations like a less expensive Star Wars controller and 4/8 way switchers
  • I refurbed lots of games during this period and sold some for top dollar because of the increased demand
