ArcadeVGA and Jpac not powering on the monitor . .
Guywiththegun:
This is the same machine I had an issue with here:

I decided to buy a Jpac and an ArcadeVGA and just use it as a MAME machine. Monitor doesn't even power on. Normally, with just the Arcade PS, it powers on but no picture. Would this mean there's a problem in the wiring from the Jamma harness to the monitor? I'm a little confused in how just the Jpac powers on the monitor in the first place.
Everything on the Jpac appears to be lit up well.
At my wits end with this thing.
CheffoJeffo:
Can you show us some pics of wiring ?
Neither the ArcadeVGA nor the JPac have anything to do with the power to the monitor -- that is AC power that comes from the wall, probably via an Isolation Transformer.
Guywiththegun:
I can get some pics . . but if I understand you correctly, I still need to supply power to the monitor somehow away from the Jpac? How would I do this short of a separate power supply?
CheffoJeffo:
The monitor is powered by AC, just like what you get from the wall.
If it is an arcade monitor, then it probably requires an isolation transformer between the wall and it. Don't skip this step unless you know you can.
I refer you to this recent post of mine for some clarity as to where power comes from/
EDIT: DEFINITELY take pics so that we can ensure you have an ISO where you need it. Otherwise you can blow your monitor.
Guywiththegun:
I didn't think I would need to power the monitor with the Jpac . . Wow, I'm confused.
Here are a bunch of pics, including some when I first got it with just the SF2 board and the old power supply that I thought was the issue (oh the young and naive) . .

Here are some of the more relevant ones I just took:
