WMASS warehouse run - updated see below******
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:27:01 pm »
I've been working with a couple of local ops and I'm trying to help them move some of their old merchandise.  Up until now I've been sending one or two guys over at a time.  I would like to do a big run with a bunch of people and help them consolidate down to one warehouse.  They aren't really selling parts right now, mainly just cabs.  They are priced to move as non-working, but there is a good chance your cab might work if complete or in the case of at least 1 guy a new ps and he was able to enjoy his $50 Kung Fu Master.  Most cabs are $50-75.  Assume the cp is populated unless otherwise stated, and I haven't opened the back of every game to inspect whether or not the boards are present.  The cabs are all in good shape.

Off the top of my head:
2-3 UR Pole Position Cabs with monitors
2-3 UR PP II cabs with monitors
2 Pole Position cockpits (these are $75)
empty Kangaroo cab
4-5 Birdie King Cabs with monitors
2 Space Invaders cabs - no monitors
Scramble Cab with monitor
empty Golden Tee Cab
Joust cab with monitor (cp converted to trivia whiz)
DK cocktail (converted to trivia whiz, I don't ask questions)
QBert (converted to trivia whiz)
Toobin - looked complete (probably 125-150 for this one)
coin op pool tables (I think he wanted 150-200 for these)
stunt cycle (looks complete)
trak 10 (looks complete)
monte carlo (looks complete)

in total I think they have 75 or so cabs they are looking to move

If there is enough interest I will try to put something together for the 21st or the 28th.

In another month I may arrange a separate run for the stuff they just pulled off of location.
megatouches
sitdown racing games
pins
blitzs
MKs
crane machines
soda machines
jukeboxes

send me a pm if you're interested

they probably have another 6 or 7 pole positions in a chicken coop type warehouse in CT as well.  I wish I liked that game. I would pick up 2 for $100 and then have spare parts to keep that sumnabitch runnin'

I just got off the phone with the one of the ops.  We're thinking Saturday the 28th around noon.  That gives us time to hit the Ludlow warehouse (where most of the cabs are located), the West Side warehouse and for those with slightly deeper pockets you should be able to take a look at some of the newer stuff in Holyoke.

Shoot me an email and I'll fire you my number.  If anyone wants we can meet up at my house since it's easy to get to off of the Pike and we can convoy it over there or I can give you directions via email.  Also if there is anything in particular you're looking for let me know.  I may head over there on Wednesday afternoon (if you want in on Wednesday that's fine) to take a look at a couple of things for a KLOVer who might come in from NY on Saturday, just realize you're probably only going to get a chance to see the Ludlow warehouse.

other things that came to mind today
punchout cab with two monitors (this one does not have the po harness or pcb)
an atari football (I can't remember if it had the monitor) no main pcb
centipede cocktail - broken top glass otherwise looked complete
mini cab with Mr. Do ( no monitor in it, but there's a 13 inch monitor 5 feet away that they'll throw in)
a couple of chicago coin games (can't remember any titles off hand too big and too heavy for mew to even think about getting in my basement)

_____________________________________________________________
Holyoke warehouse (**only if that op goes on Saturday** )

crane machines starting at 250
blitzs starting at 300
blitz/showtime - $400
soda machines starting at 250
upright megatouches
pins I know he has 2 at the 700 mark (WWF and something else, don't quote me on the games), Funhouse 13 or 14 ( I honeslty can't remember), FishTales -$1500
sticker machines starting aT $75
no idea what he wants for the sitdown racers and jukes (cd and 45's)

I didn't know about Appollo's and I doubt I would be invited.  My dislike for a certain member of the old guard is well known.

Appollos is on Sunday and I don't know if I can compete with Dewman and John anyway.  Those guys seem to have deep pockets.  I can't afford to buy Whirlwinds, Trons and Baby Pacs every other week.

First I would like to say sorry to JMB and his buddy Paul who had to hang around the West Side warehouse and were unable to make it to Ludlow.  JMB I sent you an email with the Ops number.

Redfivexw (Jesse) - picked up 9 cabs.

Guywithagun (Chris) - picked up at SF and possibly something else

WickedBass' Stepfather (ZZ Top Tom)  - picked up 10 pinball bodies and heads, a bunch of playfields, and probably a metric ton of backglasses.

WickedBass - unable to get anything - see above

Blkdog (John) - picked up a dk 2 board set and a couple of nintendo cps

Peale - picked up a popeye cp and is line to receive a free cab on his next trip down for troubleshooting a game.  Peale shoot me a PM if you remember which cab you're interested in and I'll tag it for you.

Dewman (Andy) - laid the groundwork for two Star V cockpits that have never seen location.  Definite score of the day for $80 combined.  Neither one works but he should easily be able to get one working one out of the two.

Bullwinkle (Tom) - got a bunch of boardsets and laid the groundwork to come back and pick up a PP cockpit.

_____________________________________________________________________________________
I might try to do another group run in 2 weeks or so.  If I do I will make a new thread.  There's probably 70+ cabs still available and a ton of parts*.  The boards and monitors all come with this disclaimer - stuff is everywhere, on the floor, on top of stuff, in boxes and in some cases inside an old fridge, so assume they don't work.    Boardsets are probably $10- 30 and monitors are $20-$30.

Thanks Quin - I don't NEED anything, but if I had to choose it would probably be one of the Williams cabs.  I don't remember seeing that Joust, it's gone, right?

It appears that his vid budget is slightly bigger than the average bear's.  :)
