Hmm, can that game play with the d-pad and buttons, or does it need to use the two thumbsticks?  If the d-pad & buttons, the sticks will be easy to hack.  If it needs the analog sticks, it'll be a little harder, and would be easier if your twinsticks switches to have NC and NO connections.

A good thread on hacking the analog sticks.

Didn't Battlezone and T-Mek use dual sticks like that?

If so, could play those as well.
