Should I base my build on a JK cab?

Had no clue what a "JK" cab was, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.
And like shardian said, the majority of users here are in the States and most of us weren't around at that time.

Still while AMERICA was sleeping 22 people looked at the post.. And if one tries googleing for pictures of "JK arcade" and the first picture is a JK cabinet. Here's an URL http://www.pin-games.se/arcade/pictures/jk_1457.jpg

An attitude like that will get you nowhere around here. Rather than Google it, because I wouldn't think "JK arcade" would pull up anything, I had to go to KLOV and see what games had those initials. It was only one, but you could've saved yourself a headache by just saying Jungle King.
Your expectations of an immediate reply, however, are completely unfounded.
Enjoy your stay. I hope you don't screw yourself out of more help in the future.

FWIW, I don't think that JK means Jungle King. I believe the JK that he is referring to is a brand of generic cabinet in Europe (like Dynamo in North America).
The answer to the original question is a resounding "NO!", which you would have gotten from me then if you had bothered to post a picture -- I don't run out and do random Googling for some random guy's benefit at 06:30.
If you can't be bothered to post a pic (or even a link, although pic is best), why the hell should I be bothered to figure out what you are talking about ?

MMM, generic European cabs don't earn Miss Pretty prizes. Most of them are rip-off designs from the fruity slot machines.
Think of something yourself or check the American classics from Atari or Nintendo.

First Jonkey Kong, or Junior Kong,
What now? Wankey Dong Surfing? A french Wars Des Stars?

It's funny ... when I see them I think of some of the early Atari's ... I guess I really am old.
Having said that, I agree with your assessment.
