It's addictive as hell, with a killer soundtrack and a very different game aim than traditional racers. Plus it's not unfair like many arcade racers, where time limits were set at unachievable levels to rape your credits.

Once you could do the boost correctly and drift fast you could get one credit to last you 15-20 minutes; not common with 'simulation control' arcade machines that became prevalent after 2000 where a pound would last you a minute every time.

I've only just discovered the game recently after reading about it in retro gamer. Also, a friend of mine loves it- his brother was on the 3d chip design team for the dreamcast so naturally he had a dreamcast at home. But hadn't played it since he lived with his brother in London. You shoulda seen his eyes pop when i slipped the gamecube version into my Wii without telling him!

I dunno. All I saw was wild driving and fantastic, unrealistic crashing.

You just have to play it i guess, its no racing sim thats for sure but i think its alot of fun...
