Does anyone know if it's possible to turn off the upper game choice section of Players Choice and stretch the game section to full screen?

I think there is, but you have to compile mame yourself.

In the old dos mame you could use the "skip lines" command to not render x number of lines and thus remove portions of the screen. Unfortunately I don't think it ever made it to windows mame and I'm not even sure if it's still in the dos mame code.
