It turns out that the cab I have is 26.5 inches wide inside and I have a 27 inch monitor.  The brackets do not go for that width. However the cab does have bolts through the sides so I am bolting a 1 x 6 between the bracket and cabinet side on each side. That way I have the correct width for the monitor. The brackets are good heavy duty quality and I think that this will work.

That's the recommended way to make it fit.  If you don't want to use bolts, you can just glue and screw some extra wood panels onto the inside walls of the monitor area.  Unfortunately, these aren't just going to drop into any cabinet size with any monitor size, some modifications may be necessary.  Some concessions had to be made to allow some flexibility while not compromising the strength of the design.  If I made the front mounting studs too long, they would not be able to support as much weight.

However, even with the addition of wood to the mounting area, this solution is usually easier and more stable than rigging something from scratch.

I'm sorry it took so long to get the dimensions up, but I hope the brackets end up working for you.

Thanks!  Just picked up one of these.  Should work good with my 27" betson multisync.
