Best TV to get?
« on: July 02, 2003, 12:49:19 pm »
I need to get a tv for my cabinet and don't know what to get. I want a 25 or 27 inch tv and will be using svideo.

I want to spend under $250. Any recommendations?

Thanks! :)

I think you can get by e-bay a sony trinitron 27' for that price! I heard once from a kid who had one in his cab that the screen it's very similar to a wells grardner!

 :)  Hope this helps anyway!

Ive seen toshibas new for about 230-250, but good luck finding a 27 inch trinitron for that price. I have yet to see one.

It's just an arcade machine. I'd go buy a cheapo new one from Walmart. That way you don't pay shipping and you won't break the bank. Who needs top of the line for such a limited purpose, anyways?

Humm, sony trinitron, i mean the old ones of course, have a very similar image to the arcade ones like wells 9k per example!

I think in america everything's possible so why don't you give it a try! :)

By the way i'm not american...

Old= Used ones!

Sony doesn't sells crap! Somethings are bad and others are good! :)

With adjustements or advance MAME, should do the trick! :)

Best buy has some tvs between $300 and $400 with component video.  You can get ATI cards that work with the ATI compnent adapter.

I am thinking that I may go that route

I think that most "new age" consoles can output to compent.  Not sure about dreamcast, the rest, I am reasonably sure about though.
