Chunce DeLeone:
I am buildign a JUKE and don't want a DVD-rom drive installed anymore.  I used it to load the os but when i discconect it from the system it won't boot.  How to I remove this DVD drive and allow the PC to boot up?

Ginsu Victim:
Did you check the jumper on the hard drive? Was it a master - slave setup?

JonProphet:
Check your BIOS for halt on errors. If it had set that you had a drive and now its gone. It will halt. Also, did you remove the floppy to? Check that as well.

Chunce DeLeone:
The hard drive is actually a CF to SATA adapter so I didn't see a jumper on it, also the bios doesn't have no halt on errors.  I am goign to try and update the bios, maybee a newer one has that option, intel atom 230

Ginsu Victim:
Some mobos look for certain SATA drives to be connected and if they aren't, it will halt. Check to see if that's the case.
