HOTD (PC) and Topgun- 2nd player doesn't work? *Resolved*
david656:
just to add, make sure you go into the 'service' menu's and change the games to either USA or Export to get rid of Japanese writing and also calibrate the guns.
on a side note Time Crisis in the PS1 emulator works quite well ;D and it does have the 'light gun' /mouse option .. i remember trying it with a ps2 guncon 2 on PC and it didn't quite work but i think that was down to me... should work with some topgun's fine though
DJ_Izumi:
While it's true, the PS1 port of Time Crisis is a downgraded port. In the arcade it ran on the Super System 22 which was vastly superior to the PlayStation, so it's a lot uglier in the home version. Lower resolution, lower detail models, that 'lumpy jerky' thing that the PlayStation does when rendering 3D objects.

OK whilst Player 1 is fine- no player 2? It takes over player 1's crosshair. I've been into the game settings but can't work out what's missing. This is model 2 emulator now- same problem as PC version!

I've also played with the emulator.ini. I set Raw input to 1 and both crosshairs are stuck in the top right corner. There is one mouse and 2 topguns on this cab. I see there are settings in emulator.ini for more than 2 mice but I don't understand how to use this. Presuming model 2 recognises topguns as mice? then how do I number each device in the ini file?
EG if I set RawDevP1 to 1 and RawDevP2 to 2, the mouse has P2 crosshair and P1 is stuck in the corner. if I set RawDevP1 to 1 and RawDevP2 to 3, the mouse has P1 crosshair and P2 is stuck in the corner.
If you have them working for both players could I see your emulator.ini file?
