im looking for a bootable dvd solution to just do neogeo roms that i can theme. mala only seems to be windows based is there a linux or some other way?

There used to be a bootable mame disc that was based on Ubuntu(I think). It was called advanceCD. I think you download an image and then add roms to it. You can also install it on a usb device for better performance. Hope this helps.
