As long as he doesn't sell to someone else while you're trying to buy from him, though, right?

If he felt you were serious about buying, he wouldn't have done it.

Raven's been around here a lot longer than you. Who do you think we're going to listen to? (Especially given your attitude in other threads)

OK, fair enough. Here's the list of PMs.  I told him I wanted these items. Because of his lack of correspondence, I dont know if he got confused or just refused to sell and own up to it, but I showed more than just random interest in the original board (hyper) and the other two I wanted. I wasn't going to flake. I even offered to pay him on the 15th for the original board and he took forever to get back to me.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 26, 2008, 12:42:59 am ---Here is the string of PMs I received and sent with/to Raven..

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 01, 2008, 06:14:38 pm ---I have a ton of arcade pcbs.  What games would you want to trade for?  (I have SFII:HF, but none of the KI series.)

--- End quote ---

--- Quote from: indecks on September 01, 2008, 06:26:03 pm ---Hi Raven, thanks for the interest.

I'd definitely be interested in the HF board, is there any way I can get a decent list? I'm mainly interested in Capcom Fighters (CPS1 and 2), and Neo-GeoMVS boards/carts.

Not that I would expect to have 400 boards in trade, heh. I just want to see whats available, if possible.  Also, where are you located? I'm in Austin TX.

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 01, 2008, 11:08:24 pm ---Here is a list from several months ago.  I know there are some others as well.  I've been sorting through and individually boxing them, but I haven't gotten around to re-checking my list.  Some of these have multiples also.  I also have a stack of unknown non-JAMMA boards from various manufacturers.

I wasn't sure if my next pm was actually sent because it wasn't saved in my outbox, so I sent another just in case to show my interest.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 04, 2008, 11:38:54 am ---Hey Raven, sorry if you get this a 2nd time, I could have sworn I sent you a reply but it didn't show up in my sent box so I'm not sure if you just havent replied or if I never sent it, ha!

Anyway, my last response was a question about your Street Fighter 2 Turbo.  Would you be willing to sell it, and if so for how much?

John

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 06, 2008, 12:09:03 am ---$50 + shipping.  I'll wan to re-test it first though.

--- End quote ---

--- Quote from: indecks on September 06, 2008, 08:42:28 am ---Great price, I'd love to take that off your hands.  Would you be willing to wait until payday, which is the 15th?  I can pay via paypal if you accept that, or I can fire off a money order if you prefer.

If so, let me know if it's in good working order.  Thanks!
John

At this point, Raven had not gotten back to me in several days, so I sent a pm just to check in.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 10, 2008, 10:13:11 pm ---Should I assume you're not interested in selling anymore?  I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Sorry....I'm in Orlando on vacation.  I've been so busy the last week getting ready that I haven't answered any messages.

--- End quote ---

Completely understandable reason for not getting back to me.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 12, 2008, 08:31:51 am ---

OH! OK I totally understand.  Sorry about that.  Have fun!

--- End quote ---

Again,  I hadn't heard for several days, so I checked in again.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 20, 2008, 07:37:48 pm ---Hi, I'm sorry to be a pest, I was just wondering if you were still interested in selling that SF2Turbo cps1 board if it still worked fine.

--- End quote ---

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 22, 2008, 12:25:28 am ---I acn't find where I put it.  I looked through all of the boards I had sorted and boxed, ad can't find it.  I found some SFII: Champion edition, but not Hyper Fighting.  Sorry about that.  I know I should still have it, as I haven't sold it.  I jsut don't know where it went.

It was here after this msg Raven posted the thread selling his PCBs, located here link

So interested in the Street FIghter II bootleg (since I couldn't buy Hyper) I sent him this message:

--- Quote from: indecks on September 22, 2008, 12:31:13 pm ---Hey no problem about SF2Turbo.  But Ive got some questions about the bootleg CE board you posted.  Which bootleg is that SF2:CE?  Do you know if it's Red Wave, Rainbow, etc?  In order to tell, Rainbow's title screen looks like this:

And this is Red Wave.

If it's one of those, I'll take it.

I'm also quite interested in the Super Dodge Ball board.  Is that the actual PCB, or is it the NeoGeo MVS sequel? (they both had the same name).  I'm hoping it's the original PCB game as I don't have an MVS board.

let me know!
John

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 22, 2008, 08:22:30 pm ---Good question!  I'll have to plug it back in and find out!

Super Dodgeball is the original pcb, not an MVS cart.

Sweet.  If the Street Fighter board isn't one of the two, let me know what kind of 'oddities' it has, crazy fireballs, hitting start changes your character, etc.  If it's crazy like that I might still want it. :)

Thanks again

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 25, 2008, 12:24:18 am ---Looks to be a Rainbow edition.  It's not a CPS1 boardset, it is a single layer bootleg board.

--- End quote ---

here is my offer to buy the board AGAIN.  I was ready to paypal the payment at a moment's notice.

--- Quote from: indecks on September 25, 2008, 07:58:15 am ---I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean it won't connect to a regular JAMMA harness, etc?  If it works fine and doesn't seem to have any glitches I'll still snag it, and the dodgeball board too.  Let me know how much shipping would be, I'm at

--- Quote from: Raven.. on September 25, 2008, 11:12:51 pm ---Actually, someone already snagged both of those boards.

--- End quote ---

If the boards had been sold to someone else, why not just tell me? Save yourself the trouble of answering a slew of PMs.  Again, this guy is a time waster.

--- End quote ---

The reason for my 'attitude' on this matter is that it seems Raven can't seem to keep things straight or respond in time. If he expected me to just say "I'LL BUY" and send him money without KNOWING WHAT IM BUYING then he needs to get some more experience in selling.  I'm not going to send someone money for something that he lists as a random "Street Fighter Bootleg" and take the chance of buying something I might already own. I told him if it was X or Y I wanted it. He verified that it was what I was talking about. That very minute he could have sent me a PM and he would have been paid. There was no doubt. It took forever for confirmation in the FIRST place, so I literally COULDN'T pay him anyway.  Believe what you want, the messages speak for themselves.

Interesting....

Seems pretty straight-forward.

Raven, what happened here? Things seemed to be moving along fine, then suddenly took a nosedive.

Though indecks was a bit of an ---uvula--- in that one thread, I don't see anything he's done wrong.

All I'm saying is that I have had several transactions in the past and they went fine. I wouldn't hesitate to do business again with him.

No money had exchanged hands so you were not out anything.  He may have had someone local that bought them from him thereby saving the hassle of shipping. :dunno If he had taken your money and then not sent them I could understand you being more upset.
