Coin Door Wiring help (lighting)
(1/1)
DeLuSioNal29:
Hello all,
My coin doors are hooked up and working perfectly, except for the lighting. I have a green wire and a blue wire on the wiring harness for both bulbs. Which one is ground and which is 12v?
Also, how hard is it to replace the bulb with an LED?

Hey Del,
Well on your light, it doesn't matter. There is no Ground per-se, just a positive side and a negative side. Just make sure you stick to the same side and color for both lights.
I did the same thing with my lights on my coin door, wired it straight to my PC, and did not have any issue. More pics below:

On the LED part, while it may look cool, you actually get better effect in my opinion with a standard bulb.
Hope this helps!

I'm pretty sure that Happ sells an LED lamp replacement for coin doors, but their site is too big a mess to find it.

I agree with chase.
The LED lamps run a lot cooler, and they consume a lot less power, and they last for many many years. BUT The incandescent bulbs look tons better, and more original.
