Who's voice is that?
Ummon:
I was looking up some old Hanna-Barbera Superfriends cartoons, and at one point, the voice of Green Lantern (this is Challenge of the Superfriends) got my attention. I thought, I've heard that before. Where? And after a bit I thought, no way, really? Sure enough, I looked it up on IMDB and it's the same guy (Michael Rye) who did the narration for the attract video of DL/DL2/Space Ace. I've always liked his voice.
Turnarcades:
It's easy to ignore voice talent seeing as how you can't see the actors, but there seems to be a small flock of actors who get involved in a lot of varied voice acting. Mark Hamill has done a lot over the years, as well as Dwight Schultz; both iconic actors in film before VG/cartoon voicing.
FrizzleFried:
I've always wanted to get in to voice acting and or voiceovers for commercials, etc. I've been told dozens of times that I have an excellent "radio" voice. Funny thing is that when i listen to myself on tape, I think I sound like ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---... but to myself as I sing for example, i sound awesome! Evidently the vibrations of your vocal cords run through the bone to the ear obscuring the actual sound, so you sound much different to yourself than how others (and yourself via recordings) hear you.
Ginsu Victim:
I like my voice....until I hear it recorded. I've called in to the Glenn Beck radio show a few times and I always sound terrible.
shardian:
I think I sound completely normal. Then when I hear myself recorded I sound like a drunk hillbilly - and I don't even drink!
