Ummon:
Though at first I was skeptical, turns out I like this game. Love the graphics. It's certainly a workout at first, and then one gets used to the three directions and optimising when to fire, but moving up high on the screen, as well as just becoming familiar with the baddies' entry spots, getting them early and with fewer shots. Played maybe ten games and almost killed the third boss, so maybe a really high score is in the future. Still, the hectic-ness of this game - '85, doesn't that predate the manic vert shooters by a few years?

My advice to you is that you play either..
Gun Smoke World             *Ninja level 3 Indian Chief Level 6
Gun Smoke US set 1         *Ninja level 3 Indian Chief Level 6
Gun Smoke Jap                *Ninja level 3 Indian Chief Level 6

Not Gun Smoke Set 2..
Because level 3, and 6 are swapped
*Indian Chief level 3 Ninja Level 6

But it's all a matter of opinion i suppose

With Hyperspin about to have a public release in a day or two I thought it would only be fitting for me to design the theme for gunsmoke so i created this:

Alt Colors:

Another Flash idea:

Hopefully someone can help me to have this for the August 6th release

TPB:

It goes without saying, but congrats on the awesome score.    :applaud:

yes I have beat the game before

When you complete the game, does it have a little ending animation ?

Perhaps riding into town on your horse, with the town folk cheering from either side of the street ... then you dismount from your horse, stride into the town clerk's office, and collect a few sacks of cash for your hard-earned bounty money ?  And then, maybe use some of that cash for some well deserved R&R at the town's whore-house.   ;D

tpb, ment to ask a while ago, but you happen to have pig joe as your avatar, what's your HS ? or do you just like that character?

I thought his name was Joe Keep ... have a look at his bounty poster on intro. screens ...

I'm "ordinary at best" at playing the game ... don't worry, your high score shall never be at threat from me.    8)

I've yet to get past the Ninja boss throwing those stars, at the end of level 3.

While I was never great at the game, it's one of the games I remember most fondly from my teenage years ... it was always great fun to play, and I had good times playing it with my brother and my mates in those days, at the local bowling alley.

So this game, apart from being great fun, has a nostalgia aspect for me.

We'll it's very boring actually its got really slow text that makes you pull your hair out to read because it's typed in very slowly, it would of been nice for the score to "roll" and let you keep playing . I hope some day to see this game as an arrangement kinda like Namco's classic collection vol.1 and 2 Pacman, sure the original is by far better the chemistry works and its cool to see a slight change, but keeping most of the game play original

TIP : The ninja is vulnerable right afer he does his back flip. and if your still struggling, try to retain the horse when you get up to him.
